Abstract

Setiap suku dan etnis yang ada di Indonesia memiliki nilai-nilai kemanusiaan masing-masing yang membantu masyarakatnya berinterasi dengan manusia lainnya, dimana remaja merupakan salah satu bagian dari masyarakat. Bentuk dari interasi tersebut salah satunya adalah perilaku prososial, yang dimaknai tindakan yang mampu memberikan keuntungan atau dampak positif bagi orang lain, tanpa mengetahui keuntungan yang jelas bagi yang melakukan. Oleh karena setiap suku memiliki nilai dan prinsip bermasyarakat yang berbeda, maka tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui komparasi perilaku prososial dan identitas enis antara siswa keturunan suku Sunda dan siswa keturunan suku Jawa di wilayah Jabodebek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian adalah komparasi. Sampel penelitian merupakan siswa kelas X dan XI bersuku Jawa dan Sunda di wilayah Jabodebek, yang berjumlah 102 siswa bersuku Jawa dan 85 siswa bersuku Sunda. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan Skala Perilaku Prososial dan Skala Identitas Etnis MEIM yang diadaptasi dari Phinney (1992) dan telah dialihbahasakan oleh penerjemah yang berlisensi di bidang bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara perilaku prososial siswa bersuku Jawa dan Sunda di wilayah Jabodebek, oleh karena nilai signifikansi yang dihasilkan 0,277>0,05. Sehingga dapat dimaknai bahwa kedua etnis memiliki perilaku prososial, dimana pada nilai-nilai masyarakat pada kedua etnis mengedepankan hidup gotong-royong dan mampu menghormati orang lain. Meski begitu terdapat perbedaan yang menonjol dari indikator perilaku prososial dimana siswa Jawa unggul dalam indikator berbagi dengan siapapun, sedangkan siswa Sunda unggul dalam indikator memperlakukan orang lain dengan santun. Adapun hasil penelitian identitas etnis menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara identitas etnis siswa bersuku Jawa dan Sunda di wilayah Jabodebek, oleh karena nilai signifikansi yang dihasilkan 0,245>0,05. Sehingga dapat dimaknai bahwa kedua etnis mampu menghayati identitas dirinya dengan baik. Kata kunci : Identitas etnis, Perilaku Prososial, Suku Jawa, Suku Sunda / Every ethnicity in Indonesia has its own human values that help its people interact with other humans, where teenagers are a part of society. One of the forms of this interaction is prosocial behavior, which is defined as actions that are able to provide benefits or positive impacts for others, without knowing the obvious benefits for those who do. Therefore, each ethnic group has different values and principles of society, the purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of prosocial behavior and ethnic identity between students of Sundanese descent and students of Javanese descent in the Greater Jakarta area. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method with a comparative research design. The research sample is the students of class X and XI of Javanese and Sundanese ethnicity in the Jabodebek area, totaling 102 students of Javanese ethnicity and 85 students of Sundanese ethnicity. The data collection technique used the MEIM Prosocial Behavior Scale and Ethnic Identity Scale which was adapted from Phinney (1992) and has been translated by a licensed translator in the field of language. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the prosocial behavior of Javanese and Sundanese students in the Jabodebek area because the resulting significance value was 0.277> 0.05. So that it can be interpreted that the two ethnic groups have prosocial behavior, where the values of society in both ethnicities prioritize mutual cooperation and are able to respect others. Even so, there are significant differences in indicators of prosocial behavior where Javanese students excel in the indicator of sharing with anyone, while Sundanese students excel in the indicator of treating others with courtesy. The results of the ethnic identity research shows that there is no significant difference between the ethnic identities of Javanese and Sundanese students in the Greater Jakarta area because the resulting significance value is 0.245> 0.05. So it can be interpreted that the two ethnic groups are able to live their identity well. Keywords: Ethnic identity, Prosocial behavior, Javanese, Sunda
