Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi penggunaan media sosial Instagram dengan aktualisasi diri mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Pengambilan sampel ini ditujukan kepada mahasiswa BK FKIP UKI yang aktif menggunakan Instagram sejumlah 36 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini ialah menggunakan angket melalui google form dengan jumlah 52 pernyataan. Sesudah mendapatkan data, peneliti melakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk mengukur valid dan reliabilitasnya alat ukur yang disebar dengan menggunakan rumus product moment Pearson dan Cronbach Alpha.Setelah itu dilakukan analisis deskriptif dengan menjabarkan mean, median dan modus dari data tersebut. Hasil uji normalitas dan linearitas di dapati jumlah angka asym sig 2 tailed 0,058. Pada uji lineritas di dapati angka 0,564 yang dinyatakan data linear. Uji korelasi Pearson dan diagram pencar didapati bahwa tidak adanya korelasi dengan nilai sig 2 tailed 0,582 > 0,05 serta nilai koefisien r yaitu -0,095 < r tabel yaitu 0,320. Hasil dari diagram pencar dideskripsikan bahwa titik-titik pada garis koefisien korelasi digambarkan menjauh. Kata kunci: media sosial, Instagram, aktualisasi diri. / This study aims to determine the correlation of the use of social media Instagram with the self-actualization of Guidance and Counseling students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Christian University of Indonesia. This sampling was aimed at FKIP BK UKI students who actively use Instagram with a total of 36 respondents. The data collection technique in this study was using a questionnaire via google form with a total of 52 statements. After getting the data, the researcher conducted a validity and reliability test to measure the validity and reliability of the measuring instrument distributed using the Pearson and Cronbach Alpha product moment formula. After that, a descriptive analysis was carried out by describing the mean, median and mode of the data. The results of the normality and linearity test found that the number of asym sig 2 tailed numbers was 0.058. In the linearity test, the number 0.564 was found which was stated as linear data. Pearson correlation test and scatter diagram found that there is no correlation with the value of sig 2 tailed 0.582 > 0.05 and the value of the r coefficient is -0.095 < r table is 0.320. The results of the scatter diagram describe that the points on the correlation coefficient line are drawn apart. Keywords: social media, Instagram, self-actualization.
