Abstract

Implementasi pendidikan karakter di Indonesia masih belum optimal. Hal ini tampak pada peringkat PISA dibidang IPA Indonesia berada pada peringkat 62 dari 70 negara. Hasil penelitian Zulkarnain (2015) menyatakan bahwa pembentukan karakter dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah menjadi tolok ukur kesuksesan pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, peneliti menemukan bahwa nilai-nilai karakter siswa SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018 hanya mencapai (19,5%). Disisi lain, pembelajaran kimia membutuhkan nilai-nilai karakter tertentu; jujur, disiplin, tanggung jawab, gotong royong, kerja sama, toleran, damai, santun, responsif dan proaktif. Oleh karena itu peneliti melakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat keselarasan hasil belajar kimia dengan nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Hipotesis penelitian adalah terdapat keselarasan hasil belajar kimia dengan nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mencakup semua siswa SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018. Penentuan sampel secara purposive samplingsejumlah 68 siswa yang terdiri atas 34 siswa kelas X dan 34 siswa kelas XI. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2018. Data diperoleh dari jawaban siswa atas instrumen penelitian berupa angket skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data homogen dan normal sehingga diperoleh uji lanjut untuk hipotesis yaitu terima H0 atau tolak Ha, artinya tidak terdapat keselarasan hasil belajar kimia dengan nilai-nilai karakter siswa SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018. Keadaan tidak selaras dinyatakan pada tingginya nilai-nilai karakter siswa namun hasil belajar kimia siswa rendah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi peneliti menemukan bahwa terdapat faktor lain yang selaras dengan rendahnya hasil belajar kimia siswa. Dari hasil observasi minat belajar siswa (19,8%) dan pemanfaatan model dan media pembelajaran (20,9%). Dengan demikian, nilai-nilai karakter siswa yang tinggi membutuhkan dukungan minat dan pemanfaatan model dan media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018. Thereforeresearchers conducted this study to determine whether there is conformity between chemistry learning outcomes with the values of student characters. The research hypothesis is that conformity chemistry learning result with student character values. The population in this study includes all students of SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018. Samples are determinated by purposive sampling on 68 students consisting of 34 students of class X and 34 students of class XI. The study was conducted in May 2018. The data were obtained from the students' answers on research instrument that is likert-scale questionnaire. The results showed that the data homogeneous and normal so that the data can be test further for hypotesis. hypotesis test states that accept Ho or reject Ha.Meaning that, there is no conformity between chemistry learning results with the character values of students of SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018. The state of disagreement is expressed in the high values of the student character but the students' chemistry learning outcomes are low. Based on the results of observations the researchers found that there are other factors that are in harmony with the low student's chemistry learning outcomes. From the observation of student learning interest (19.8%) and the use of model and learning media (20.9%). Thus, high student character values require the support of interest and utilization of model and instructional media to improve students' chemistry learning result of SMA Negeri 51 Jakarta T.A 2017/2018.
