Abstract
Based on observations that a decline in the National Examination can be interpreted that the development of technology apparently can not improve students' reasoning abilities. Effective learning with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model through device media because with media devices students can build meaningful knowledge and the problems presented can stimulate cognitive processes. This study aims to: (1) find out the increase in reasoning ability through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, (2) find out the increase in reasoning ability through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research design uses one group pretest-posttestI. The population in this study were all class X MIPA PSKD VII SMA in the 2018/2019 school year. The sample in this study was class X science because class X MIPA consisted of only one class, students of class X MIPA consisted of 25 students, in the learning process using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Insturmen in this research used pretest and posttest instruments. Hypothesis testing is done by non-parametric test that is by Wilcoxon test with a value of 0,000 <0.005 while for the N-gain test of 0.66 with the medium category.
