Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan transformasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) berbasis pendekatan saintifik dalam menyikapi tuntutan keterampilan abad-21, khususnya keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi (4C) bagi mahasiswa Program Sarjana Pendidikan Agama Kristen di STTB The Way Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan informan utama terdiri atas Wakil Ketua I bidang akademik, dosen tetap, serta mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi pembelajaran berbasis saintifik di STTB The Way Jakarta masih berada pada tahap implementasi awal. Dosen dan institusi mulai mengintegrasikan pendekatan saintifik dalam beberapa mata kuliah melalui aktivitas observasi, analisis kasus, presentasi proyek, dan refleksi. Mahasiswa menunjukkan peningkatan pada aspek komunikasi dan kolaborasi, serta mulai menunjukkan keberanian dalam berpikir kritis dan berkreasi, meskipun masih terdapat hambatan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi dan kesiapan literasi riset. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi, keterampilan digital mahasiswa yang belum merata, pola belajar pasif, serta keterbatasan pengalaman dosen dalam menerapkan metode saintifik secara sistematis. Evaluasi pembelajaran yang masih terfokus pada aspek kognitif juga belum mampu menilai keterampilan 4C secara menyeluruh. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik berpotensi besar mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad-21 mahasiswa PAK. Namun, efektivitasnya memerlukan dukungan berkelanjutan berupa pelatihan dosen, revisi kurikulum, penyediaan sarana pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, dan sistem evaluasi kompetensi yang terstruktur. Strategi keberlanjutan transformasi perlu dirancang secara kolaboratif oleh pimpinan institusi, dosen, dan mahasiswa untuk memastikan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran yang holistik dan adaptif terhadap tantangan zaman. Kata kunci: transformasi pembelajaran, pendekatan saintifik, keterampilan 4C, Pendidikan Agama Kristen, mahasiswa teologi, abad-21. / This study aims to analyze and describe the transformation of Christian Religious Education (CRE) learning based on a scientific approach in responding to 21st￾century skills demands, particularly critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication (4C), among undergraduate students of the Christian Religious Education program at STTB The Way Jakarta. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, with key informants consisting of the Vice Chair I for academic affairs, permanent lecturers, and students. The findings indicate that the transformation of scientific-based learning at STTB The Way Jakarta is still at an early stage of implementation. Lecturers and the institution have begun integrating the scientific approach into several courses through activities such as observation, case analysis, project presentations, and reflective practices. Students have shown improvements in communication and collaboration skills and have begun to demonstrate confidence in critical and creative thinking, although challenges remain in terms of technology use and research literacy readiness. The main challenges include limited technological facilities, uneven digital competencies among students, passive learning patterns, and limited experience among lecturers in systematically applying the scientific method. The current evaluation system, which is still focused on cognitive aspects, has not yet been able to comprehensively assess 4C skills. The study concludes that the scientific approach holds significant potential in supporting the development of 21st-century skills among CRE students. However, its effectiveness requires ongoing support in the form of lecturer training, curriculum revision, provision of technology-based learning facilities, and a structured competency-based evaluation system. A sustainable transformation strategy needs to be collaboratively designed by institutional leaders, lecturers, and students to ensure holistic and adaptive improvements in learning quality.
