Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dukungan manajemen kepala sekolah dan beban kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja guru di SMAS Kristen di Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Kepuasan kerja guru menjadi faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan kinerja pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMAS Kristen di Kabupaten Toraja Utara dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 83 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner tertutup dengan skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pertama dukungan manajemen berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru; kedua beban kerja berpengaruh negatif namun signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru; dan ketiga dukungan manajemen dan beban kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru. Pihak manajemen sekolah diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas dukungan yang diberikan kepada guru serta mengelola beban kerja secara lebih proporsional agar tercipta lingkungan kerja yang kondusif dan mendukung kesejahteraan guru. Kata kunci: Dukungan manajemen, beban kerja, kepuasan kerja, guru, pendidikan / This study aims to analyze the influence of principal management support and workload on teacher job satisfaction at Christian Senior High Schools (SMAS) in North Toraja Regency. Teacher job satisfaction is a crucial factor in improving the quality of learning and overall educational performance. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of all teachers in SMAS Christian schools in North Toraja, with a total of 83 respondents. The research instrument was a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale, which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine both the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables (management support and workload) on the dependent variable (job satisfaction). The results showed that: management support had a positive and significant effect on teacher job satisfaction; workload had a negative but significant effect on teacher job satisfaction; and management support and workload simultaneously had a significant effect on teacher job satisfaction. Based on these findings, school management is expected to improve the quality of support provided to teachers and manage workload more proportionally in order to create a conducive work environment that promotes teacher well-being.
