Abstract

Tiga ranah dalam pembelajaran—kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik—merupakan konsep yang telah lama dikenal dan masih digunakan dalam dunia pendidikan. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, evaluasi hasil belajar perlu dilakukan untuk mengukur ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran pada ketiga ranah tersebut. Meskipun kesadaran akan pentingnya evaluasi yang seimbang di antara ketiganya sudah cukup luas, evaluasi ranah afektif sering kali kurang mendapat perhatian, termasuk dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Ranah afektif memiliki kaitan erat dengan pembentukan karakter. Ketika keduanya berjalan beriringan, keduanya dapat saling memperkuat dan memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan. Dalam karya tulis ini, penulis meneliti sejauh mana evaluasi hasil belajar afektif dan pembentukan karakter dilaksanakan dalam mata pelajaran PAK di SMP Highfield Bekasi, serta apakah pelaksanaannya telah sesuai dengan standar evaluasi hasil belajar afektif dan pembentukan karakter yang baik, dan juga dengan ketentuan Kementerian Pendidikan yang menaungi pendidikan di Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti memilih untuk menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun evaluasi hasil belajar afektif dalam pembelajaran PAK di SMP Highfield Bekasi tidak diabaikan, sekolah belum memiliki strategi yang menyeluruh dan sistematis untuk melaksanakannya. Evaluasi belum memiliki standar baku, metode yang sesuai dan terukur, serta instrumen yang memadai. Di sisi lain, upaya pembentukan karakter dalam pembelajaran PAK telah dilaksanakan dengan baik, namun masih diperlukan penentuan tujuan yang lebih jelas dan terukur, serta program yang lebih komprehensif dan terintegrasi, yang melibatkan seluruh pemangku kepentingan sekolah. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa masih terbuka ruang untuk melakukan perbaikan, baik dalam evaluasi hasil belajar afektif maupun dalam pembentukan karakter dalam pembelajaran PAK. Jika dilakukan, perbaikan tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi perkembangan afektif siswa serta pembentukan karakternya. Accordingly, the evaluation of learning outcomes should measure the extent to which instructional objectives are achieved across all three domains. Although awareness of the need for a balanced evaluation among these domains is fairly widespread, the affective domain often receives less attention, including in Christian Religious Education (CRE). The affective domain, however, is closely linked to character formation. When implemented in tandem, both can mutually reinforce one another and make significant contributions. This study examines the extent to which the evaluation of affective learning outcomes and character formation are carried out in the CRE subject at Highfield Junior High School, Bekasi, and whether their implementation aligns with the standards of effective affective evaluation and character formation, as well as with the regulations set by the Indonesian Ministry of Education. A qualitative research design was employed, using interviews and document analysis as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that although affective learning outcomes in CRE at Highfield Junior High School are not entirely neglected, the school does not yet have a comprehensive and systematic strategy for their evaluation. The evaluation lacks standardized procedures, appropriate and measurable methods, and adequate instruments. On the other hand, efforts in character formation through CRE have been implemented effectively, but they still require clearer and more measurable objectives, as well as more comprehensive and integrated programs that involve the broader school stakeholders. The study concludes that there is still room for improvement in both the evaluation of affective learning outcomes and the implementation of character formation in CRE. If such improvements are made, they are expected to contribute positively to students’ affective development and character formation.
