Abstract

Video dokumenter ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk memberi pemahaman kepada masyarakat bahwa musik indie bukan hanya hiburan semata, melainkan memiliki pengaruh yang nyata terhadap budaya, khususnya di kalangan anak muda. Musik indie sering kali mencerminkan semangat kebebasan, kejujuran, dan ekspresi diri, yang kemudian membentuk gaya hidup serta cara berpikir generasi muda. Dalam proses pembuatannya, produser mengikuti tahapan proses kreatif menurut Mihally Csikszentmihalyi (2014) yang terdiri dari empat tahap: persiapan, inkubasi, pencerahan, evaluasi dan pengembangan. Melalui tahapan tersebut, produser merancang ide cerita, melakukan riset, dan mengembangkan narasi dokumenter secara bertahap hingga menemukan bentuk akhir yang paling sesuai. Wawancara dilakukan dengan musisi indie, pengamat musik, pengamat budayaserta para penggemar, yang semuanya menunjukkan bahwa musik indie memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk identitas anak muda. Hal ini terlihat dari cara mereka berpakaian, berpikir, hingga berinteraksi. Secara keseluruhan, musik indie dan budaya anak muda saling menguatkan dan berkembang bersama, menciptakan ruang yang terbuka bagi kreativitas dan keberagaman. Dokumenter ini hadir untuk merekam dan menyampaikan semangat tersebut kepada khalayak yang lebih luas. Kata Kunci: Dokumenter, Produser, Musik, Indie / This documentary video was made with the aim of providing the public with an understanding that indie music is not just entertainment, but has a real influence on culture, especially among young people. Indie music often reflects the spirit of freedom, honesty, and self-expression, which then shapes the lifestyle and way of thinking of the younger generation. In the process of making it, the producer followed the stages of the creative process according to Mihally Csikszentmihalyi (2014) which consists of four stages: preparation, incubation, insight, evaluation and elaboration. Through these stages, the producer designs story ideas, conducts research, and develops the documentary narrative gradually until finding the most appropriate final form. Interviews were conducted with indie musicians, music observers, cultural observers, and fans, all of whom showed that indie music plays an important role in shaping the identity of young people. This can be seen from the way they dress, think, and interact. Overall, indie music and youth culture strengthen each other and develop together, creating an open space for creativity and diversity.
