Abstract
ABSTRAK Orlando Marchello Prasetya Natapradja, Analisis Peran Budaya Jeong Dalam Menerapkan Kepemimpinan di PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia merupakan perusahaan tembakau asal Korea Selatan. Perusahaan ini memiliki cabang dan kantor di Jakarta, Indonesia. Perusahaan Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia memiliki budaya dan kepemimpinan yang berbeda dari perusahaan lain. Budaya perusahaan dan kepemimpinan menjadi salah satu faktor agar perusahaan berjalan dengan lancar, kondusif, stabil, dan sesuai dengan keinginan para pimpinan dan karayawan suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan, menjelaskan, dan menganalisis peran budaya Jeong dalam penerapan kepemimpinan otokratis di perusahaan PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini dilakukan dengan metode pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara dengan triangulasi pada 15 informan, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Metode Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya Jeong (hierarki) di PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia memiliki peran penting dalam penerapan kepemimpinan otokratis. Budaya ini terwujud dalam struktur organisasi yang hierarkis, hubungan atasan-bawahan yang otokratis, dan kepatuhan karyawan terhadap pemimpin. Kepemimpinan otokratis di perusahaan ini dijalankan dengan pemimpin yang memiliki kontrol penuh atas pengambilan keputusan, komunikasi satu arah, dan sangat memandang jabatan antar individu dan terhadap karyawan maupun bawahannya. Budaya Jeong juga memperkuat penerapan kepemimpinan otokratis dengan mendorong rasa hormat dan kepatuhan karyawan terhadap pemimpin. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya Jeong (hierarki) dan kepemimpinan otokratis saling terkait dan memperkuat satu sama lain di PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia is a tobacco company from South Korea. This company has branches and offices in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Korean company Tomorrow & Global Indonesia has a different culture and leadership from other companies. Company culture and leadership are one of the factors so that a company runs smoothly, conducively, stably, and in accordance with the wishes of a company's leaders and employees. This research aims to describe, explain and analyze the role of Jeong culture in the implementation of autocratic leadership in the PT company. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia. This descriptive qualitative research was carried out using data collection methods, namely interviews with triangulation of 15 informants, direct observation and documentation. Data analysis method is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The research results show that Jeong culture (hierarchy) at PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia has an important role in implementing autocratic leadership. This culture is manifested in a hierarchical organizational structure, autocratic superior-subordinate relationships, and employee obedience to leaders. Autocratic leadership in this company is carried out by a leader who has complete control over decision making, one-way communication, and really looks at positions between individuals and towards employees and subordinates. Jeong culture also strengthens the implementation of autocratic leadership by encouraging employee respect and obedience to leaders. This research shows that Jeong culture (hierarchy) and autocratic leadership are interrelated and strengthen each other in PT. Korea Tomorrow & Global Indonesia.
