Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami interaksi antara BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) dan penggemar mereka, ARMY (Adorable Respresentative M.C For Youth), melalui platform Weverse. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara online dengan informan yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria tertentu serta pencarian di media sosial untuk dokumentasi hasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Interaksi Simbolik yang dikembangkan oleh George Herbert Mead dan Herbert Blumer, yang menekankan pada aktivitas manusia dalam komunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Weverse berperan penting dalam membangun hubungan interaktif antara BTS dan ARMY. Platform ini menyediakan berbagai fitur seperti media, live, dan feed yang memungkinkan komunikasi dua arah. Fitur-fitur ini termasuk konten yang dibagikan oleh BTS, seperti album, foto, dan variety show,serta melalui live streaming dan fan letter. Selain itu, Weverse juga menawarkan konten eksklusif untuk pengguna yang berlangganan membership, yang mencakup merchandise dan akses ke acara khusus. Interaksi yang terjadi melalui Weverse tidak hanya memperkuat kedekatan antara BTS telah meluncurkan kampanye "Love Myself" bekerja sama dengan UNICEF, yang bertujuan mengakhiri kekerasan terhadap anak-anak dan remaja. BTS dan ARMY tetapi juga menginspirasi penggemar untuk terlibat secara langsung dalam aktivitas sosial. Selain mendukung BTS melalui Weverse, ARMY juga memberikan dukungan secara langsung, seperti aktivitas sosial mendorong ARMY untuk melakukan donasi dan proyek sosial serupa, seperti donasi sebesar 1 miliar rupiah oleh ARMY Indonesia untuk Palestina. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Weverse merupakan alat yang efektif untuk membangun dan memperkuat hubungan antara artis dan penggemar melalui komunikasi digital. BTS dan ARMY berhasil menciptakan komunitas global yang didasarkan pada cinta, pengertian, dan solidaritas, yang melampaui batasan musik dan menjangkau aspek-aspek penting dalam kehidupan sosial dan kemanusiaan. Kata Kunci: BTS, ARMY, Weverse, Interaksi. / This research aims to understand the interaction between BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) and their fans, ARMY (Adorable Respresentative M.C For Youth), through the Weverse platform. Data was collected through online interviews with informants selected based on certain criteria as well as searches on social media for documentation of results. This research uses the theory of Symbolic Interaction developed by George Herbert Mead and Herbert Blumer, which emphasizes human activities in communication. The results of the study show that Weverse plays an important role in building an interactive relationship between BTS and ARMY. The platform provides a variety of features such as media, live, and feeds that allow two-way communication. These features include content shared by BTS, such as albums, photos, and variety show, as well as through live streaming and fan letters. In addition, Weverse also offers exclusive content for users who subscribe to memberships, which includes merchandise and access to special events. The interaction that took place through Weverse not only strengthened the closeness between BTS has launched the "Love Myself" campaign in collaboration with UNICEF, which aims to end violence against children and adolescents. BTS and ARMY, but also inspire fans to get directly involved in social activities. In addition to supporting BTS through Weverse, ARMY also provides direct support, such as social activities encouraging ARMY to make donations and similar social projects, such as a donation of 1 billion rupiah by ARMY Indonesia to Palestine. The study concludes that Weverse is an effective tool for building and strengthening relationships between artists and fans through digital communication. BTS and ARMY have managed to create a global community based on love, understanding, and solidarity, which transcends the boundaries of music and reaches out to important aspects of social and humanitarian life.
