Abstract

Secara keseluruhan, pencapaian siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal masih menunjukkan tingkat yang rendah, di mana banyak siswa belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan yang diharapkan. Cacat belajar terjadi karena kesalahan dan respon yang salah diberikan oleh siswa saat menjawab pertanyaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasikan faktor – faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menyelidiki berbagai jenis kesalahan yang terjadi ketika siswa menjawab soal – soal statistika. Populasi dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari tiga siswa yang berasal dari kelas VIIIB di SMP Negeri 69 Jakarta. Tahap analisis data melibatkan tiga tahap utama, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VIIIB di SMP Negeri 69 Jakarta melakukan tiga jenis kesalahan saat mengerjakan soal tes statistika, yaitu kesalahan konseptual, kesalahan prosedur, dan kesalahan operasi hitung. Peneliti juga mengidentifikasikan beberapa faktor penyebab kesalahan tersebut, antara lain ketidakminatan siswa terhadap matematika dan kondisi pembelajaran yang tidak mendukung, dan menyebabkan kurangnya fokus dan ketelitian dalam menyelesaikan soal tes materi statistika. Kata Kunci: Materi Statistika, Jenis Kesalahan, Faktor Penyebab. / Overall, student achievement in solving problems still shows a low level, where many students have not reached the expected level of mastery. Learning disabilities occur due to errors and incorrect responses given by students when answering questions. This study aims to identify the factors that cause these errors. This study uses a qualitative approach using descriptive methods to investigate various types of errors that occur when students answer statistical questions. The population and research sample consisted of three students from class VIIIB at SMP Negeri 69 Jakarta. The data analysis phase involves three main stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that VIIIB class students at SMP Negeri 69 Jakarta made three types of errors when working on statistical test questions, namely conceptual errors, procedural errors, and arithmetical errors. The researcher also identified several factors causing these errors, including students' disinterest in mathematics and unsupportive learning conditions, and causing a lack of focus and accuracy in solving statistical material test questions.
