Abstract

Infografis merupakan salah satu aspek pendukung dalam pemberitaan di media online, dikarenakan mampu mengaitkan informasi yang sederhana menjadi informasi visual Salah satu media online yang banyak menampilkan visual yang menarik dan sederhana adalah Tirto.Id, mampu memanfaatkan infografis untuk menyebarkan informasi dan menarik minat pembaca. Hal itu menarik peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian tentang resepsi khalayak terhadap pemberitaan infografis terutama pada infografis inequality in a relationship. Setiap hubungan tak semua merasakan keharmonisan di dalamnya. Rasa kesedihan, kecewa, maupun khawatir akan timbul dengan secara tidak sengaja tergantung dari tiap individu yang menjalankan hubungan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi guna melihat pemaknaan khalayak terhadap berita infografis mengenai inequality in a relationship yang banyak diunggah oleh Tirto.Id. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori preferred reading dari Stuart Hall. Analisis resepsi adalah sebuah analisis yang mempelajari khalayak. Melalui analisis resepsi ini dapat melihat beragam makna khalayak ketika mengonsumsi berita-berita di media dan faktor yang mempengaruhi perbedaan makna dari setiap pembaca dilihat dari tiga kelompok. Maka, penelitian ini menemukan perubahan pemahaman pembaca saat membaca berita infografis. Adapun lima informan yang diwawancara oleh peneliti dan memiliki latar belakang dan pengalaman yang berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu, hasil dari penelitian ini adalah setiap informan menyampaikan ide maupun gagasan mereka saat membaca berita infografis inequality in a relationship dengan mengkonstruksikan pengalaman hidupnya. Informan memiliki pemahaman, pengetahuan, latar belakang, pengalaman tersendiri yang berkaitan dengan hubungan seseorang. Peneliti pun menemukan hal yang menarik terhadap infografis mengenai childfree bahwa empat informan berada pada posisi oposisi yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya dan agama yang mereka yakini. Kata Kunci: Infografis, Analisis Resepsi, Ketidaksetaraan dalam Hubungan, Khalayak. / Infographics are one of the supporting aspects in online media resporting, as sthey can transform lengthy news article into visually appealing and simplified representations. One online media putlet that often showcases attractive and simple visuals is Tirto.id, which effectively utilizes infographics to disseminate information and captivate readers. This has piqued the interest of reseachers to conduct a study on audience reception of infografphic news, particularly focusing on the topic of inequality in a relationship, a subject frequently covered by Tirto.id. Not all relationships experience harmony, and feeling of sadness, disappotment, or worry may unintentionally arise depending on the individuals involved in the relationship. This research adopts a phenomenological approcah to examine the audience’s interpretaion of the infographic news on inequality in a relationship that is frequently shared by Tirto.id. The study incorporates Stuart Hall’s preferred reading theory, while reception analysis is utilized as an approach to studying the audience. Through reception analysis, the study aims to explore the diverse meanings attributed by the audience when consuming news article in the media, considering various factors that influence the diferent interpretations among readers within three distinct gropus. Consequently, this research identifies a shift in readers’ understanding when consuming infographic news. The study interviews five informants who possess different backgrounds and expriences, Therefore, the result of this research reveal that each informant expresses their ideas and thoughts when reading the infographic news on inequality in a relationship by constructing their own life expriences, The informants have their own understanding, knowledge, bacgrounds, and relevant experiences relating to domestic relationships.Researcher have discovered something interesting about infographics on chilfree individuals, namely that four informants are in opposing position influenced by the culture and religion they believe in.
