F. “Optimalisasi Peran Polisi Virtual Dalam Mengatasi Hoax Melalui Media Sosial Di Wilayah Depok” Penelitian ini berfokus pada optimalisasi peran polisi virtual dalam mengatasi penyebaran hoax dalam media sosial di wilayah Depok. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mendeskripsikan peran polisi virtual dalam mengatasi hoax dan pemahaman polisi virtual tentang hoax. Wawancara dan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan hal itu peran polisi virual selain melakukan penindakan juga berperan memberikan edukasi dengan mengedepankan langkah persuasif. Kedua hal ini dilakukan melalui program dan kegiatan sosialisasi. Melalui polisi virtual, Polres kota Depok tidak segan memberikan himbauan dan peringatan selain itu pihak polisi virtual juga berkolaborasi bersama masyarakat saling ikut dalam pemantauan dan pengawasan. B. “Optimizing the Role of the Virtual Police in Overcoming Hoax Through Social Media in the Depok Area” This study focuses on optimizing the role that the virtual police play in stopping the spread of false information on social media in the Depok region. The purpose of this study is to explain how the virtual police deal with hoaxes and what they know about hoaxes. Interviews and descriptive qualitative research are used in this study. The study's findings show that the role of the virtual police in addition to taking action is also to provide education by prioritizing persuasive steps. Both of these are done through outreach programs and activities. Through the virtual police, the Depok City Police do not hesitate to give appeals and warnings. In addition, the virtual police also collaborate with the neighborhood to take part in monitoring and surveillance. Keywords: Hoax, Social Media, Virtual Police
