Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran persepsi yang dimiliki siswa SMP Kristen Harapan Bagi Bangsa terhadap tindakan bullying. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan IX berjumlah 85 siswa. Penelitian ini juga merupakan penelitian populasi dimana seluruh siswa dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan persentase jenis kelamin, rentang usia, dan tingkat kelas. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data hipotetik menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki persepsi terhadap tindakan bullying berdasarkan persentase jenis kelamin, rentang usia, dan tingkat kelas yang berada pada kategori sedang dan tinggi. Tidak ada persepsi terhadap tindakan bullying yang berada pada kategori rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jika digeneralisasikan, persepsi siswa terhadap tindakan bullying yang baik dimana siswa memahami bahwa tindakan bullying adalah sesuatu yang tidak baik untuk dilakukan. Pada data empirik, berdasarkan jenis kelamin persepsi laki-laki lebih banyak pada kategori tinggi 31,11% dibandingkan dengan kategori rendah 22,22%, sedangkan persepsi perempuan lebih banyak berada pada kategori rendah 27,50% dibandingkan kategori tinggi 20,00%. Berdasarkan rentang usia menunjukkan bahwa siswa usia 11 tahun lebih banyak pada kategori tinggi 60,00% dibandingkan kategori rendah 20,00%, siswa usia 12 tahun lebih banyak kategori tinggi 41,18% dibandingkan kategori rendah 17,65%, siswa usia 13 tahun lebih banyak persepsi pada kategori tinggi 25,81% dibandingkan kategori rendah 22,58%, siswa usia 14 tahun lebih banyak persepsi pada kategori rendah 22,73% dibandingkan kategori tinggi 13,64%, sedangkan siswa berusia 15 tahun lebih banyak persepsi pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 50,00% dibandingkan pada kategori tinggi 10,00%. Lebih lanjut, pengkategorian berdasarkan tingkat kelas menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VII lebih banyak persepsi pada kategori tinggi 46,15% dibandingkan kategori rendah 23,08%, siswa kelas VIII sama banyak persepsi terjadi pada kategori rendah dan tinggi sebesar 21,88%, sedangkan siswa kelas IX lebih banyak persepsi pada kategori rendah 29,63% dibandingkan kategori tinggi 11,11%. Kata Kunci: Bullying, Persepsi, Siswa./ This study aims to describe the perception of the students of Harapan Bagi Bangsa Christian Middle School towards bullying. Respondents in this study were students of class VII, VIII, and IX collecting 85 students. This research is also a population study where all students are used as research subjects. The data analysis technique used quantitative analysis based on the proportion of sex, age range, and grade level. The results of the study based on hypothetical data showed that students had perceptions of bullying actions based on the proportion of gender, age range, and grade level that were in the category and high. There is no perception of bullying which is in the low category. This shows that if generalized, students' perceptions of bullying are good and it can be understood that bullying is something that is not good to do. In empirical data, based on gender, the perception of men is more in the high category of 31.11% compared to the low category of 22.22%, the perception of women is more in the low category of 27.50% compared to the high category of 20.00%. Based on the age range, it shows that students aged 11 years are more in the high category 60.00% compared to the low category 20.00%, students aged 12 years are more in the high category 41.18% compared to the low category 17.65%, students aged 13 years more perceptions in the high category 25.81% compared to the low category 22.58%, students aged 14 years had more perceptions in the low category 22.73% compared to the high category 13.64%, while students aged 15 years had more perceptions in the high category low with a proportion of 50.00% compared to the high category of 10.00%. Furthermore, categorization based on grade level shows that grade VII students have more perceptions in the high category of 46.15% compared to the low category of 23.08%, grade VIII students have the same number of perceptions in the low and high categories by 21.88%, while class IX has more perceptions in the low category of 29.63% compared to the high category of 11.11%.
