Abstract
Bearing capacity of pile foundation is the most important factor that has to be considered in the stage of design for constructions project. In many projects, bearing capacity design used for determining allowable working load of structure based from static analysis of shear strength parameters like cohesion ( c ) and internal friction angle () taken from laboratory testing, then examined with in situ loading test. Recently, another method that has been developed is based from load transfer mechanism on the pile-soil system to determine bearing capacity design that will be used for pile foundation.
