Abstract

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), merupakan suatu kondisi umum yang sering ditemukan pada pria lanjut usia, ditandai dengan adanya proliferasi sel-sel stroma dan sel-sel epitel di uretra yang menyebabkan pembesaran di prostat. Banyak faktor yang terlibat dalam proses terjadinya BPH, diantaranya tidak seimbangnya hormon testosteron dan estrogen, teori dehidrotestosteron (DHT), teori stem cell,interaksi sel stroma dan sel epitel, berkurangnya proses apoptosis sel-sel prostat, dan pengaruh PSA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran benign prostatic hyperplasiapada pasien di rumah sakit umum UKI Jakarta periode Juli 2018-Juni 2021. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif retrospektif dengan instrumen penelitian yaitu data rekam medik pasien. Jumlah sampel 91 pasien. Hasil penelitian didapatkan, pada kelompok usia pasien paling banyak yaitu pada usia >66 tahun (49,5%) sebanyak 45 orang. Pada distribusi status perkawinan paling banyak pada pasien yang sudah menikah 82 orang (90,1%). Distribusi pendidikan terakhir yang tertinggi pada tingkat SMA sebanyak 49 orang (53,8%). Distribusi pekerjaan terbanyak pada pasien yang sudah pensiunan sebanyak 42 orang (46,2%)/Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), is a common condition encountered in aging men, characterized by a proliferation of strome cells and epithelial cells in the urethra that causes enlargement in the prostate. Many factors involved in the process of BPH, some of are is imbalance of the hormones testosteron and estrogen, theory dehydrotestosteron (DHT), stem cells theory, interaction of the strome cells and epithelial cells, reduce the process of apoptosis of prostate cells, and PSA influences. The purpose of this study was to identify benign prostate hyperplasia of patients at the public hospital UKI Jakarta as of july 2018- june 2021.The study is a descriptive study using a retrospective descriptive approach with a research instrument that data patients medical records. The sampel count is 91 patients. Studies were obtained in the most advanced age group at age >66 years (49,5%) of 45 people. With the large distribution of marital status in patients who are already married (90,1%) of 82 people. The highest distribution of education at the high school level was (53,8%) of 49 people. The largest distribution of jobs on retired patients (46,2%) of 42 people.
