Abstract

COVID-19 merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus SARS-CoV- 2. Hal ini telah menimbulkan keresahan bagi masyarakat di seluruh dunia sehingga dampaknya mampu merubah hidup banyak orang. Pandemi COVID-19 telah memaksa pemerintah untuk memberlakukan langkah-langkah kesehatan masyarakat untuk meminimalisir dampak penyakit terutama di kalangan lansia sebagai kelompok berisiko berat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengarakterisasi cara pandang lansia terhadap implementasi New Normal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Cross-sectional deskriptif untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Pengetahuan dan persepsi kaum lansia dan Implementasi New Normal. Diperoleh 1018 responden dalam rentang umur 50 – 82 tahun dengan distribusi terbesar berada di kota Jakarta (453 orang), mayoritas responden menunjukkan pengetahuan dan persepsi yang benar tentang New Normal. Sebanyak 84% dari mereka mengetahui konsekuensi dari COVID-19 dan dampak dari New Normal (84,4%)./ COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This has caused unrest for people around the world so that its impact can change the lives of many people. The COVID-19 pandemi has forced the government to implement public health measures to minimize the impact of the disease, especially among the elderly as a severe risk group. The purpose of this study was to characterize the elderly's perspective on the implementation of the New Normal. This study uses a descriptive cross-sectional method to determine the relationship between knowledge and perceptions of the elderly and the implementation of the New Normal. Obtained 1018 respondents in the age range ranging from 50 - 82 years with the largest distribution in the city of Jakarta with a frequency of 453, the majority of respondents showed the correct knowledge and perception of the New Normal. As many as 84% of them know the consequences of COVID-19 and the impact of the New Normal (84.4%).
