Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional guru dengan kinerja guru dan hubungan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru serta secara bersama-sama hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 1 Telukdalam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional dengan menggunakan alat analisis regresi ganda. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 orang guru dengan menggunakan teknik simpel random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0,73 dan terdapat hubungan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0,729 serta terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja. Pola hubungan kedua variabel ini dinyatakan oleh persamaan regresi Ŷ = 2,038+ 0,246x1+ 0,267x2. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 60,4% . Upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru yaitu kepala sekolah mampu menunjukkan kepiawaiannya dalam kepemimpinannya mengelola sekolah, membangun rasa saling percaya dalam kebersamaan, Kepala sekolah harus memiliki program kerja yang baik, mampu memimpin dan bertanggung jawab dalam mengembangkan dan mempertahankan eksistensi organisasi, terjalinnya hubungan yang baik antar sesama guru dengan cara saling memberikan motivasi. Kata kunci: Kinerja Guru, Kecerdasan Emosional, Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah/The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teacher emotional intelligence and teacher performance and the relationship between school principal leadership and teacher performance and together the relationship between emotional intelligence and school principal leadership with teacher performance in SMP Negeri 1 Telukdalam. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative method with a correlational approach using multiple regression analysis tools. The sample in this study were 40 teachers using simple random sampling technique. he results showed that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher performance of 0.73 and there was a relationship between school principal leadership and teacher performance of 0.729 and there was a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and principal leadership together on performance. The relationship pattern of these two variables is expressed by the regression equation Ŷ = 2.038+ 0.246x1 + 0.267x2. The coefficient of determination is 60.4%. Efforts to improve teacher performance are principals able to demonstrate their leadership skills in managing the school, build mutual trust in togetherness, principals must have a good work program, be able to lead and be responsible for developing and maintaining the existence of the organization, establishing good relationships among others teacher by giving each other motivation.
