Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1)meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru di TK Kristen IPEKA Grand Wisata; (2)meningkatkan kompetensi kepribadian guru di TK Kristen IPEKA Grand Wisata (3)meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru di TK Kristen IPEKA Grand Wisata; dan (4)meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di TK Kristen IPEKA Grand Wisata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Data – data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasi pasif, dan dokumentasi. Pemilihan informan ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Miles and Huberman, yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu: (1)reduksi data; (2)penyajian data; dan (3) verifikasi/penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru di TK Kristen IPEKA Grand Wisata, maka diperlukan beberapa upaya, yaitu: (1) meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam hal pemahaman karakteristik peserta didik, penerapan berbagai pendekatan /strategi /metode /teknik bermain sambil belajar, pengembangan kurikulum secara kreatif, pemahaman dan penerapan tahapan bermain anak, penilaian dan evaluasi peserta didik dan bagaimana mengkomunikasikannya kepada orangtua, pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas; (2)meningkatkan kompetensi kepribadian guru dalam hal peningkatan etos kerja dan tanggungjawab terhadap pekerjaan serta pemahaman dan penerapan kode etik profesi guru Indonesia; (3)meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru dalam hal kemampuan berkomunikasi dengan orangtua dalam kaitannya dengan program pembelajaran dan kemajuan peserta didik dan kemampuan berkomunikasi secara aktif dengan komunitas profesi sendiri dan profesi lain; (4)meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam hal penguasaan penggunaan berbagai alat permainan dan berbagai permainan anak, pemilihan dan pengolahan materi bidang pengembangan secara kreatif, dan pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk peningkatan keprofesionalan. Kata kunci: peningkatan kompetensi guru, kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial, kompetensi profesional. /The aims of the research are: (1)to improve the pedagogy competence of teachers in IPEKA Christian Kindergarten in Grand Wisata; (2)to improve the personal competence of teachers in IPEKA Christian Kindergarten in Grand Wisata; (3)to improve the social competence of teachers in IPEKA Christian Kindergarten in Grand Wisata; and (4)to improve the professional competence of teachers in IPEKA Christian Kindergarten in Grand Wisata. The research applied qualitative descriptive method. The instrument is the researcher herself. Data was collected using these techniques: (1)depth interview; (2)passive participation observation; and (3)documentation. The informants were chosen with purposive sampling technique. The technique used to analyze data in this research is the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three steps: (1)data reduction; (2)data display; and (3) verification/conclusion drawing. The result of the research shows that it needs some efforts in order to improve teacher competence in IPEKA Christian Kindergarten in Grand Wisata. The efforts are (1)improving teacher pedagogy competence in these matters: comprehending student characteristics, the application of various approaches/strategies/methods/play and learn techniques, curriculum development, children‟s play stages, assessment and evaluation and how to communicate it to parents, class action research; (2)improving teacher personal competence in these matters: improving work ethics and responsibility, comprehension and implementation of Indonesian Teacher‟s Code of Ethics; (3)improving teacher social competence in these matters: developing good communication with parents due to learning programme and student‟s progress, developing active communication with teacher community and other profesion community; (4) improving teacher profesional competence in these matters: skilled in using children toys and playing children games, choosing and managing materials creatively, and doing class action research.
