Abstract

Leucorrhoea is something that is commonly experienced by women. Many factors that influence vaginal discharge and personal hygiene are one of the factors that support the occurrence of vaginal discharge, but these factors are not taken into account by women. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and vaginal discharge in women of childbearing age in the work area of East Rim Health Center, Bengkulu. The type of research used in this study is analytic survey research with a cross sectional research design using measurements and observations at the same time (one time) between independent variables and the dependent variable where the dependent and independent variables are examined directly. The location of the study was conducted at the Bengkulu Outer Circle Health Center. The sample is women of childbearing age. Results: Out of 29 women of childbearing age with poor personal hygiene there were 22 people (75.9%) who experienced vaginal discharge while of 56 women of childbearing age with good personal hygiene there were 30 people (53.4%) who did not experience vaginal discharge . In this study, it was proven that the incidence of female vaginal discharge with poor personal hygiene was higher than that of women with good personal hygiene.
