Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) merupakan bentuk tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada keuntungan ekonomi, tetapi juga berkontribusi terhadap pembangunan sosial dan pemberdayaan masyarakat di sekitar wilayah operasional perusahaan. Penelitian ini membahas makna program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT PLN Indonesia Power Unit Bisnis Pembangkitan (UBP) Priok bagi pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat RW 06 Kalibaru, Jakarta Utara. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran perusahaan dalam membangun hubungan yang harmonis dan berkelanjutan dengan masyarakat melalui program-program pemberdayaan yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami bagaimana masyarakat memaknai program CSR yang dijalankan oleh PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Priok dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi, kemandirian, serta kesejahteraan sosial masyarakat sebagai penerima manfaat program. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi nonpartisipan, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri atas pihak perusahaan yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan program CSR serta masyarakat penerima manfaat program pemberdayaan ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program CSR PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Priok dimaknai oleh masyarakat sebagai bentuk kepedulian sosial perusahaan yang memberikan manfaat nyata bagi kehidupan mereka. Program tersebut tidak hanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan pendapatan dan peluang usaha masyarakat, tetapi juga meningkatkan keterampilan, pengetahuan, serta rasa percaya diri dalam mengembangkan usaha secara mandiri. Selain itu, program CSR juga memperkuat hubungan antara perusahaan dan masyarakat melalui terciptanya rasa saling percaya dan kerja sama yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, program CSR PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Priok memiliki makna penting sebagai sarana pemberdayaan ekonomi yang mendukung peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. / Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a form of corporate social responsibility that is not only focused on economic profit but also contributes to social development and the empowerment of communities in the areas surrounding the company’s operations. This study examines the significance of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program implemented by PT PLN Indonesia Power Generation Business Unit (UBP) Priok for the economic empowerment of the community in RW 06 Kalibaru, North Jakarta. This research is motivated by the importance of a company’s role in fostering harmonious and sustainable relationships with the community through empowerment programs capable of improving the quality of life for the community in a self-reliant and sustainable manner. This study aims to identify and understand how the community perceives the CSR program implemented by PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Priok in improving the economic well-being, self-reliance, and social welfare of the community as beneficiaries of the program. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. Research informants consisted of company representatives involved in the implementation of CSR programs as well as community members who are beneficiaries of economic empowerment programs. The research findings indicate that PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Priok’s CSR program is perceived by the community as a form of corporate social responsibility that provides tangible benefits to their lives. The program not only contributes to increasing the community’s income and business opportunities but also enhances their skills, knowledge, and self-confidence in developing independent businesses. Furthermore, the CSR program strengthens the relationship between the company and the community by fostering mutual trust and sustainable cooperation. Thus, PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Priok’s CSR program holds significant importance as a tool for economic empowerment that supports the sustainable improvement of community well-being.
