Abstract

Kekerasan seksual masih menjadi permasalahan sosial yang marak terjadi baik dalam lingkungan sosial maupun diruang digital. Seiring dengan perkembangan media sosial, platform digital kinii tidak lagi terbatas sebagai sarana hiburan, malainkan telah menjadi sarana pembelajaran yang strategis. Salah satu akun yang secara aktif menyampaikan edukasi terkait isu tersebut adalah Instagram @_perempuan_. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan konten edukasi mengenai kekerasan seksual yang disampaikan melalui akun Instagram @_perempuan_ terhadap self-efficacy dalam self-defense pada para followers. Landasan teoritis yang melandasi analisis dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada pendekatan media effects yang dikemukakan oleh McQuail (2011) dengan konsep terpaan media serta konsep self-defense menurut Hollander (2016). Menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari 100 responden yang merupakan pengikut akun Instagranm @_perempuan_ melalui kuesioner online, untuk menguji pengaruh antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menenujukkan adanya paparan konten edukasi dari akun Instagram @_perempuan_ memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap self-efficacy dalam self-defense followers dari kekerasan seksual. Besarnya pengaruh yang diperoleh berdasarkan koefisien determinasi adalah sebesar 14,8%, sementara presentase sisanya dijelaskan oleh variabel - variabel lain diluar model penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat ditafsirksn bahwa paparan konten edukasi yang disampaikan melalui akun Instagram @_perempuan_ berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan self-efficacy dalam self-defense followers dalam upaya mencegah dan menghadapi kekerasan seksual. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi teoritis bagi pengembangan edukasi digital serta referensi literatur mengenai pencegahan kekerasan seksual melalui media sosial maupun topik serupa. Kata Kunci: Instagram, Kekerasan seksual, @_perempuan_, Self defense / Sexual violence remains a widespread social issue occurring in both physical environments and digital spaces. In tandem with the evolution of social media, digital platforms are no longer restricted to entertainment purposes but have instead transformed into strategic educational media. One of the accounts actively disseminating education regarding this issue is the Instagram account @perempuan. This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to educational content about sexual violence shared by the Instagram account @_perempuan_ on the followers self-efficacy in self-defense. The theoretical framework underpinning the analysis in this study draws upon the media effects approach proposed by McQuail (2011), specifically focusing on the concept of media exposure, alongside the self-defense concept by Hollander (2016). Utilizing a quantitative approach with a survey method, data were gathered from 100 respondents who follow the Instagram account @_perempuan_ via an online questionnaire to evaluate the relationship between variables. The empirical findings indicate that exposure to educational content from the Instagram account @perempuan exerts a significant positive influence on the followers' self-efficacy in self-defense against sexual violence. Based on the coefficient of determination, the magnitude of this influence is 14.8%, while the remaining percentage is accounted for by other variables outside this research model. Consequently, it can be interpreted that exposure to educational content delivered through the @perempuan Instagram account contributes to enhancing followers' self-efficacy in self-defense as an effort to prevent and confront sexual violence. The insights from this study are expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of digital education and serve as a literature reference concerning the prevention of sexual violence through social media or other related topics.
