Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komitmen profesional guru dalam meningkatkan pembiasaan belajar dan pembentukan karakter siswa di SD Regina Caeli Cileungsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru kelas, siswa, serta orang tua siswa. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen profesional guru tercermin dalam kesungguhan guru dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran, memberikan pendampingan secara berkelanjutan, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif bagi pembiasaan belajar siswa. Komitmen tersebut juga diwujudkan melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter, seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan integritas, yang terintegrasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan pembiasaan sekolah. Strategi yang digunakan guru meliputi penerapan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi, pemberian keteladanan, penguatan melalui sistem penghargaan dan sanksi, serta dukungan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Adapun hambatan yang dihadapi antara lain keterbatasan waktu, perbedaan karakter siswa, serta keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana. Faktor pendukung utama dalam memperkuat komitmen profesional guru meliputi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang inspiratif, iklim sekolah yang kondusif, dukungan orang tua, serta pemanfaatan teknologi pendidikan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa komitmen profesional guru memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan pembiasaan belajar dan pembentukan karakter siswa secara berkelanjutan. Oleh karena itu, penguatan komitmen guru melalui pembinaan profesional dan dukungan sistem sekolah perlu terus dioptimalkan. Kata kunci: komitmen profesional guru, pembiasaan belajar, pendidikan karakter, sekolah dasar, keberagaman./ This study aims to analyze teachers’ professional commitment in enhancing students’ learning habits and character development at SD Regina Caeli Cileungsi. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in -depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal, classroom teachers, students, and parents as informants. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that teachers’ professional commitment is reflected in their seriousness in planning and implementing learning activities, providing continuous guidance, and creating a supportive learning environment that fosters students’ learning habits. This commitment is also demonstrated through the internalization of character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and integrity, which are integrated into classroom learning and daily school routines. The strategies applied by teachers include the use of varied instructional methods, role modeling, reinforcement through reward and punishment systems, and support from extracurricular activities. The challenges encountered include time constraints, diverse student characteristics, and limited facilities. Meanwhile, supporting factors that strengthen teachers’ professional commitment include inspirational school leadership, a positive school climate, parental support, and the use of educational technology. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that teachers’ professional commitment plays a crucial role in improving students’ learning habits and character development in a sustainable manner. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ professional commitment through continuous professional development and systemic school support is essential.
