This center serves as a hub for research, development, and the organization of activities focused on Nusantara's traditional instruments. Through a collection of classical instruments such as gamelan, angklung, sasando, and others, the center aims to conserve and disseminate the cultural richness of music found in various regions of Indonesia. The Nusantara Music Center also functions as an educational institution, providing training to the younger generation in the mastery and performance of traditional instruments. These activities encompass not only the technical aspects of playing instruments but also a deep understanding of the cultural context and history behind each musical instrument. Furthermore, the center serves as a platform for traditional music performances, whether in the form of concerts, festivals, or workshops. This aims to broaden public appreciation for the beauty of Nusantara music and to acknowledge the contributions of artists and traditional instrument players. In the modern era, the center also plays a role in integrating traditional elements into contemporary music experiments. This creates space for innovation and adaptation, ensuring that the Nusantara musical heritage remains relevant and enjoyed by various segments of society. Thus, the Center for Nusantara Music and Instruments plays a central role in preserving, advancing, and inspiring the sustainability of Indonesia's traditional musical wealth.
