Abstract
Penuaan merupakan proses alami yang menyebabkan penurunan berbagai fungsi tubuh, termasuk fungsi kognitif seperti memori. Gangguan memori pada lansia dapat berdampak pada kualitas hidup dan kemandirian mereka. Salah satu pendekatan non-farmakologis yang efektif untuk meningkatkan fungsi kognitif adalah terapi puzzle. Tujuan: Melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan gerontik pada lansia dengan gangguan memori di Panti Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 2025. Metode: yang digunakan adalah studi kasus terhadap dua orang lansia yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, seperti usia ≥60 tahun dan mengalami gangguan memori ringan hingga sedang dengan nilai skor AMT 4 - 7. Intervensi diberikan selama lima hari berturut-urut menggunakan jigsaw puzzle dengan durasi 15 – 20 menit. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Abbreviated Mental Test (AMT) untuk menilai perubahan fungsi kognitif. Kesimpulan: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kognitif setelah intervensi. Terapi puzzle terbukti memberikan manfaat dalam menstimulasi daya ingat dan fungsi kognitif lansia serta dapat dijadikan intervensi dalam praktik keperawatan gerontik di panti sosial tresna werdha budi mulia 1 cipayung jakarta timur./Aging is a natural process that leads to a decline in various bodily functions, including cognitive functions such as memory. Memory impairment in the elderly can impact their quality of life and independence. One effective non-pharmacological approach to improve cognitive function is puzzle therapy. Objective: To carry out gerontological nursing care for the elderly with memory impairments at Panti Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 in 2025. Method: A case study was conducted on two elderly individuals who met the inclusion criteria, such as being ≥60 years old and experiencing mild to moderate memory impairment with an AMT score of 4 - 7. The intervention was provided for five consecutive days using jigsaw puzzles for a duration of 15 - 20 minutes. Evaluation was conducted using the Abbreviated Mental Test (AMT) instrument to assess changes in cognitive function. Conclusion: The evaluation results indicate an improvement in cognitive abilities after the intervention. Puzzle therapy has proven to be beneficial in stimulating memory and cognitive function in the elderly and can be used as an intervention in gerontological nursing practice at the Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 social care center in Cipayung, East Jakarta.
