Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini mengenai 1) bagaimana kompetensi sosial guru dalam memotivasi diri siswa SMA, 2) apa dampak pola asuh permisif terhadap karakteristik siswa SMA, 3) bagaimana upaya yang dilakukan guru & orang tua dalam memotivasi diri siswa SMA Pasraman tirtha Bhuana Bekasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kompetensi sosial guru, dampak pola asuh permisif orang tua, serta upaya kolaboratif antara guru dan orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi diri siswa SMA Pasraman Tirtha Bhuana Kota Bekasi dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sosialnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif melalui studi fenomenologis. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi sosial guru yang ditunjukkan melalui komunikasi empatik dan relasi yang positif berperan penting dalam membangkitkan motivasi diri dan karakter siswa. Di sisi lain, pola asuh permisif berdampak negatif terhadap kedisiplinan dan kemampuan adaptasi siswa, terutama dalam konteks kegiatan kolektif di pasraman. Temuan lainnya menunjukkan bahwa sinergi antara guru dan orang tua melalui komunikasi terbuka dan konsisten turut memperkuat semangat belajar serta kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan sosial dan spiritual di lingkungan pasraman./ The research problems in this study include: (1) how teachers’ social competence motivates high school students, (2) what impact permissive parenting has on the characteristics of high school students, and (3) how efforts from both teachers and parents contribute to motivating students at SMA Pasraman Tirtha Bhuana Bekasi. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers’ social competence, the impact of permissive parenting, and the collaborative efforts between teachers and parents in enhancing students’ self-motivation in adapting to their social environment. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method using a phenomenological study. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show that teachers’ social competence—expressed through empathetic communication and positive relationships—plays a significant role in fostering students’ self-motivation and character development. On the other hand, permissive parenting has a negative impact on students' discipline and adaptability, especially in collective activities at the pasraman. Further findings indicate that the synergy between teachers and parents, through open and consistent communication, contributes to strengthening students’ learning enthusiasm and readiness to face social and spiritual challenges within the pasraman environment.
