Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur fisik puisi yang muncul pada lima puisi karya Kim Cheng Boey. Adapun empat puisi yang akan dianalisis dalam skripsi ini antara lain, Beslan, Wanton with James, Clear Brightness, dan Bach in Lepzig. Keempat puisi Boey yang telah dipilih penulis menunjukan kegelisaahan penyair akan hidup yang dijalaninya di negeri orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis isi terhadap kata, frasa, dan kalimat di dalam keempat puisi karya Boey. Penulis menggunakan teori struktur fisik dan batin untuk menganalisis setiap karya pilihan Boey. Dalam kumpulan puisi-puisi Boey yang telah dipilh, penulis menemukan berbagai pesan, tema atau amanat yang menarik. Selain itu, penulis juga menemukan berbagai kata-kata atau kalimat yang bermakna lebih, sehingga dapat hasil dari penelitian ini sendiri yaitu akan menunjukan diksi konotasi, pengimajian, tema, dan amanat yang terdapat dari puisi-puisi kumpulan yang dipilih penulis. / This paper aims to analyze the physical structure of poetry that appears in five poems by Kim Cheng Boey. The four poems that will be analyzed in this thesis include Beslan, Wanton with James, Clear Brightness, and Bach in Lepzig. The four Boey poems that the author has chosen show the poet's anxiety about the life he lives in a foreign country. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis of words, phrases and sentences in Boey's four poems. The author uses theories of physical and mental structure to analyze each of Boey's selected works. In the collection of Boey's selected poems, the author finds various interesting messages, themes or messages. Apart from that, the author also found various words or sentences that have more meaning, so that the results of this research itself will show the diction, connotations, imagery, themes and messages contained in the collection of poems chosen by the author.
