Abstract

Sebuah universitas dapat di pandang baik ketika universitas tersebut memiliki kualitas dosen yang memenuhi syarat sebagai dosen perguruan tinggi. Perguruan Tinggi selaku salah satu lembaga pendidikan tinggi memiliki peran yang sangat penting, menurut Direktur Jenderal Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui popularitas Universitas Kristen Indonesia di kalangan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di 10 Provinsi yaitu; DKI Jakarta, Sulawesi Utara/Bitung, DIY/kota jogjakarta, Kalteng/Palangkaraya, NTT/Kupang, Jateng/Kab. Semarang, Jabar/Bandung, Sumbagsel/lampung, Palembang, Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan langkah analisis yaitu kualitatif yang menggunakan maping sampel dengan wawancara kepala sekolah untuk menentukan sekolah yang akan di teliti dan menentukan pengambilan sampel terhadap siswa. Dimana penelitian ini menggabungkan dua teknik analisis tersebut untuk mendapatkan hasil yang terbaik. Dua langkah pendekatan yaitu pertama melakukan observasi terhadap objek yang akan diteliti, dan yang kedua menggunakan kuisioner untuk pengambilan sampel data berjumlah 200 siswa. Dapat di tarik kesimpulan bahwa popularitas Universitas Kristen Indonesia sangat rendah di kalangan siswa sekolah menegah atas. Maka saran strategi yang harus di lakukan oleh universitas kristen Indonesia adalah mempromosikan melalui tiga hal yaitu, media internet dan iklan di media elktronik maupun cetak. Higher Education as one of the institutions of higher education has a very important role, according to the Director General The purpose of this study is to determine the popularity of Christian University of Indonesia among high school students in 10 Provinces namely; DKI Jakarta, North Sulawesi / Bitung, DIY / city of Jogjakarta, Central Kalimantan / Palangkaraya, NTT / Kupang, Central Java / Kab. Semarang, Jabar / Bandung, Sumbagsel / Lampung, Palembang, Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative analysis step that uses sample maping with principal interview to determine the school to be in carefully and determine the sampling of students. Where this research combines the two analytical techniques to get the best results. Two steps approach is first to observe the object to be studied, and the second using questionnaires for sampling data amounted to 200 students. It can be concluded that the popularity of Christian University of Indonesia is very low among upper middle school students. So the strategy suggestion that must be done by christian university of Indonesia is to promote through three things that is, internet media and advertisement in media of elktronik and print.
