Abstract

Permasalahan pada penelitian ini yaitu terdapat gejala FoMO yang dirasakan peserta didik yaitu sering memeriksa akun platform digital dan menghabiskan uang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui bagaimana gambaran FoMO dan motivasi belajar pada peserta didik SMA Bunda Hati Kudus, dan mengetahui adakah hubungan Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) dengan motivasi belajar pada peserta didik SMA Bunda Hati Kudus. Peneliti melakukan penelitian di SMA Bunda Hati Kudus dengan peserta didik kelas 10 sampai kelas 12 dengan total 451. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Pada penelitian ini peneliti melakukan uji asumsi yang meliputi uji normalitas kolmogorov smirnov metode monte carlo, linearitas, homogenitas, hipotesis dan korelasi pearson. Hasilnya didapati bahwa uji normalitas pada penelitian ini nilai sig 0,186, kemudian uji linearitas didapati hasil 0,530, uji homogenitas dengan hasil 10,266, uji hipotesis dengan hasil 0,002, hasil uji korelasi pearson yaitu 0, 216 artinya kekuatan hubungan antara FoMO (X) dengan motivasi belajar (Y) berkorelasi lemah. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil mengenai hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan fear of missing out (FoMO) adalah terdapat korelasi antara FoMO dengan motivasi belajar tetapi lemah, data pada penelitian ini terdistribusi secara normal maka uji korelasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi pearson, terdapat hubungan antara FoMO dengan motivasi belajar namun tidak signifikan FoMO pada peserta didik SMA Bunda Hati Kudus sedang dan gambaran motivasi belajar peserta didik tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan referensi baru untuk penelitian selanjutnya mengenai hubungan FoMO dengan motivasi belajar yang dapat dikaitkan dengan variabel lain, peserta didik dapat menggunakan media sosial tidak berlebihan, sekolah harus mempertahankan motivasi peserta didik dengan menjaga kualitas dari guru, peserta didik, kondisi pembelajaran, dan fasilitas yang mendukung proses belajar mengajar di kelas. Selain itu, guru dapat memberikan materi yang berhubungan tentang cara penggunaan platform digital dengan baik, tidak membandingkan diri, merasa cukup, dan bersyukur. Kata kunci: Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), Motivasi Belajar. / The students' financial anxiety disorder (FoMO) symptoms, such as frequent account checks and online shopping, are a weakness in the study. This study looks at pupils at Bunda Hati Kudus High School in an effort to determine their present level of enthusiasm for studying and whether there is a connection between learning and FOMO. Upon conducting the survey, Bunda Hati Kudus High School had 451 students registered in grades 10 through 12.For this analysis, the researcher combined a quantitative research design with a correlational technique. The Pearson correlation, linearity, homogeneity, Monte Carlo method, Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test, and hypothesis tests were all employed in this inquiry.The linearity test produced a result of 0.530 and the study's normalcy test produced a sig value of 0.186. The results of the homogeneity test came back at 10.266, the hypothesis test at 0.002, and the Pearson correlation test at 0.216. These results suggest that learning motivation (Y) and FoMO (X) have a modest association. The study's normally distributed data and the use of the Pearson correlation test for the correlation test make it reasonable to draw the conclusion that learning motivation and fear of missing out (FoMO) are related, albeit weakly. In Bunda Hati Kudus High School, there was a high degree of learning desire and a moderate level of FOMO. Future research examining the relationship between FoMO and learning motivation in relation to other factors might benefit from the fresh perspectives this study should offer. Students should use social media responsibly, and schools should maintain student interest by maintaining high standards for their faculty, student body, classrooms, and other resources. In addition to offering relevant information, instructors may support students in expressing gratitude, feeling well enough, avoiding self-comparison, and making responsible use of digital media.
