Abstract

Kesempurnaan penampilan menjadi patokan dalam kepercayaan diri seseorang yang dapat menimbulkan suatu obsesi dengan hal tersebut. Kecenderungan Body Dysmorphic Disorder merupakan kecenderungan seseorang dalam membayangkan cacat jasmaninya sebagai sesuatu yang sangat berpengaruh pada dirinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Body Mass Index (BMI) dengan kecenderungan Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) pada remaja, menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner, yaitu BDDQ dan kuisioner kecenderungan BDD berdasarkan aspek preokupasi dan distress pada siswa SMA menggunakan random sampling. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 105 responden dengan jenis kelamin perempuan sebesar 52,4% dan laki-laki 47,6% dengan rentang usia 14-16 tahun. Pada data hasil penelitian, rentang Body Mass Index terbanyak adalah 18,5-22,9 sebesar 50,5% dan yang paling sedikit yaitu BMI >30 (2,9%). Hasil uji hipotesis, nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-sided) 0,544 > 0,05, maka tidak terdapat hubungan antara Body Mass Index (BMI) dengan kecenderungan Body Dysmorphic Disorder pada remaja. The tendency of body dysmorphic disorder is a tendency for a person to imagine their physical disability as something that is very influential on them. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and the tendency of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) in adolescents, using a cross sectional research design. Data was collected using a questionnaire, namely BDDQ and BDD tendency questionnaire based on aspects of preoccupation and distress by Philips, in high school students using random sampling. The research was followed by 105 respondents, 52.4% is female and male 47.6% with an age range of 14-16 years. In the research data, the highest range of Body Mass Index is 18.5-22.9 by 50.5% and the least is BMI >30 (2.9%). Hypothesis test results, Asymp values. Sig. (2-sided) 0.544> 0.05, there is no relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and the tendency of Body Dysmorphic Disorder in adolescents.
