Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku terlambat siswa dan mengetahui gambaran faktor-faktor yang melandasi perilaku tersebut. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga siswa kelas XII TKR di SMK Hatawana Jakarta Timur yang seringkali datang terlambat ke sekolah di atas jam 08.00 WIB. Ketiga siswa ini meskipun sudah diberi sanksi, namun masih datang terlambat. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan pengumpulan dan penyajian data dalam bentuk kata-kata maupun gambar. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasikan penemuan-penemuan yang diinginkan yakni berupa penjelasan mengenai faktor-faktor apa saja yang membuat siswa terlambat di SMK HATAWANA. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam metode penelitian kualitatif lebih menekankan pada observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian terhadap siswa terlambat di SMK Hatawana mengungkapkan beberapa faktor penyebab keterlambatan. Perilaku terlambat siswa dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu perilaku terlambat yang disengaja dan perilaku terlambat yang tidak disengaja. Perilaku terlambat yang disengaja seperti faktor mampir ke warung untuk minum kopi dan merokok, bosan dengan metode pengajaran guru, begadang karena bermain game, serta bermain bersama teman hingga larut malam. Sedangkan perilaku terlambat tidak disengaja melibatkan faktor seperti jarak tempat tinggal yang jauh, kondisi lalu lintas macet, motor yang sering mogok, bensin habis, dan ban bocor. Dalam penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa faktor terbesar yang melandasi perilaku terlambat siswa adalah karena kurangnya kemampuan siswa untuk mengelola waktu serta kurangnya minat belajar siswa. / This research aims to find out how students behave late and to understand the factors that underlie this behavior. The subjects in this research were three class XII TKR students at Hatawana Vocational School, East Jakarta, who often came to school late after 08.00 WIB. Even though these three students had been given sanctions, they still arrived late. This descriptive qualitative research involves collecting and presenting data in the form of words and images. The aim of this research is to produce the desired findings, namely in the form of an explanation of the factors that make students late at HATAWANA Vocational School. The data collection techniques used in qualitative research methods emphasize observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research on late students at Hatawana Vocational School revealed several factors causing tardiness. Students' late behavior is divided into two, namely intentional late behavior and unintentional late behavior. Deliberate late behavior such as stopping by the shop for coffee and smoking, getting bored with the teacher's teaching methods, staying up late playing games, and playing with friends until late at night. Meanwhile, unintentional tardiness involves factors such as long distances from residence, congested traffic conditions, motorbikes that frequently break down, running out of petrol, and flat tires. In this study, it was concluded that the biggest factor underlying students' late behavior was students' lack of ability to manage time and students' lack of interest in learning.
