Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui keefektifaan penggunan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning ditinjau dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 150 Jakarta pada materi peluang; mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning dengan kelas yang tidak menggunakan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis Quasi Experiment dengan desian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini semua siswa kelas VIII yang meliputi dua kelas yakni 35 siswa kelas VIII.B sebagai kelas control dan 36 siswa kelas VIII.C sebagai kelas eksperimen. Analisi data di lakukan dengan uji independent sample t-test pada data post-test dan n-gain score kelas control maupun kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas control. Kata kunci: Lembar Kegiatan Siswa, Problem Based Learnin. / The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using Problem-Based Learning-based Student Activity Sheets in terms of mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 150 Jakarta on opportunity material; to determine the difference in student mathematics learning outcomes between classes that use Problem-Based Learning-based Student Activity Sheets and classes that do not use Problem-Based Learning-based Student Activity Sheets. This research uses a quantitative research method called a Quasi Experiment with a non-equivalent control group design was used. The target population for the study comprised all VIII grade students consisting of two classes, with 35 students of class VIII.B as the control class and with 36 students of class VIII.C as the experimental class. For Data analysis was carried out by independent sample t-test on post-test data and n-gain score of control and experimental classes. The results showed that the Problem-Based Learning-based Student Activity Sheet was effective enough to be used, and found significant differences in learning outcomes between the control and experimental classes.
