Abstract

Gangguan siklus menstruasi diestimasi terjadi pada 14-25% perempuan usia subur. Siklus menstruasi dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya pola makan. Asupan nutrisi seorang perempuan dapat mempengaruhi produksi hormon yang terlibat dalam terjadinya menstruasi. Perempuan cenderung lebih memperhatikan bentuk tubuh sehingga tidak jarang membatasi asupan energi untuk mencegah terjadinya berat badan berlebih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pola makan terhadap siklus menstruasi pada mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran angkatan 2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Maret sampai Desember 2022 di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Pengambilan data diambil melalui kuesioner Food Recall 24 jam untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai pola makan responden dan kuesioner terkait siklus menstruasi responden. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat 47,17% responden yang memiliki Pola Makan kurang dan 79,25% responden mengalami siklus menstruasi normal. Hasil uji dengan analisis bivariate ditemukan terdapat pengaruh pola makan terhadap siklus menstruasi. Kata kunci: Pola makan, Siklus menstruasi, Menstruasi / Menstruation disorders are estimated to affect 14-25% of women of reproductive age. Menstrual cycles can be affected by different factors, including dietary patterns. A woman’s nutrition intake can influence menstruation-related hormone production. Teenage girls tend to have concern over their body appearance which leads to restricting their energy intake to prevent excessive weight gain. The objective of this research is to determine the influence of dietary patterns on menstrual cycles. This study is conducted from March to December 2022 in the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Data are obtained through a 24 Hour Food Recall questionnaire to determine an individual’s dietary pattern and questionnaire related to the menstrual cycle. Result shows that 47,17% of respondents have inadequate energy intake and 79,25% of respondents experience regular menstrual cycles. The result obtained with bivariate analysis indicates that dietary patterns influence menstrual cycle. Keywords: Dietary patterns, Menstrual cycle, Menstruation
