Abstract

Pembahasan mengenai Kesehatan mental mulai menjadi perbincangan hangat pada tahun 2020, dengan diperingatinya Hari Kesehatan Mental Sedunia pada tanggal 10 Oktober 2020, yang bertemakan “an opportunity to kick-start a massive scale-up in investment in mental health”. World Health Organization (WHO) pada kesempatan tersebut menekankan pada konsekuensi yang ditimbulkan saat kehidupan kita yang telah banyak berubah akibat pandemi COVID 19. Masalah kesehatan mental di Indonesia masih menjadi persoalan yang serius, dengan kemunculan media sosial yang tidak bisa dibendung. Berbagai konten yang unik dan serius bahkan sampai yang tidak masuk akal bisa sangat menghibur penonton hingga akhirnya trending. Salah satu media sosial yang banyak digunakan adalah Tiktok. Belakangan ini istilah kesehatan mental atau gangguan mental di Tiktok menjadi viral dan popular karena sering menjadi bahan diskusi di kolom komentar media sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh terpaan tayangan konten Tiktok @devvweis tehradap tingkat pengetahuan gen z terkait kesehatan mental. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Kultivasi dimana kultivasi membahas mengenai terpaan media yang memberikan pengaruh pada persepsi aundiensnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan melakukan survey kepada 100 responden. Hasil penelitian ini diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 25. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh sebesar 63,8% (kuat) dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R square) sebesar 40,7% antara variabel terpaan tayangan konten tiktok @devvweis terhadap tingkat pengetahuan generasi z terkait kesehatan mental dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor di luar penelitian ini. Hal inimenunjukkan bahwa gen z ataupun responden yang menonton konten tiktok @devvweis memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang tinggi (heavy viewers) dan cukup tinggi (light viewers) terkait kesehatan mental. / Discussion of mental health began to become a hot topic of conversation in 2020, with the commemoration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2020, with the theme "an opportunity to kick-start a massive scale-up in investment in mental health". On this occasion, the World Health Organization (WHO) emphasized the consequences of our lives having changed a lot due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mental health problems in Indonesia are still a serious problem, and with the emergence of social media, they cannot be stopped. A variety of unique and serious content that even doesn't make sense can really entertain the audience until it's trending. One of the most widely used social media sites is Tiktok. Recently, the term mental health or mental disorder on Tiktok has become viral and popular because it is often the subject of discussion in the social media comments column. The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence exposure to Tiktok and @devvweis content has on the level of Gen Z knowledge related to mental health. The theory used in this study is Cultivation theory, where cultivation discusses media exposure, which influences the audience's perception. This research uses quantitative methods by conducting a survey of 100 respondents. The results of this study were processed using SPSS 25. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of 63.8% (strong) with a coefficient of determination (R square) of 40.7% between the exposure variable of tiktok and @devvweis content on the level of knowledge generation z related to mental health, and the rest are influenced by factors outside this study. This shows that Gen Z or respondents who watch TikTok content (@devvweis) have a high level of knowledge (heavy viewers) and quite a high level of knowledge (light viewers) regarding mental health.
