Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan “untuk membantu siswa agar tidak mengulangi kesalahan yang sama dalam mengerjakan soal materi barisan dan deret aritmatika sehingga tujuan khusus dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana hasil belajar siswa pembelajaran pemecahan masalah di SMA HKBP Lintongnihuta. 2) Apa saja jenis-jenis kesulitan yang dialami siswa yang membuat siswa di SMA HKBP Lintongnihuta mengalami kesulitan dalam memecahakan materi barisan dan deret aritmatika. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan Kuantitatif Deskriftif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh data dan informasi serta analisis yang telah dilakukan hasil belajar siswa pada materi baris dan deret aritmatika adalah mendeskripsikan mengenai tiga kategori nilai siswa yaitu siswa dengan nilai rendah dengan persentase 50% nilai sedang dengan persentase 30% dan tinggi dengan persentase 20%. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan terdapat jenis jenis kesulitan yang dialami siswa dapat disimpulkan dengan tahap pembahasan tes yang dikaji melalui teori Polya ada 4 jenis kesulitan yang dialami siswa yaitu : 1) Kesulitan siswa dalam memahami masalah dengan persentase 28% 2) Kesulitan siswa dalam merencanakan penyelesaian masalah dengan persentase 11% 3) Kesulitan siswa dalam merencanakan penyelesaian masalah dengan persentase 12% 4) Kesulitan dalam memeriksa jawaban dengan persentase 8% Dari hasil kajian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesulitan paling tinggi adalah kesulitan dalam memahami masalah.” Kata Kunci: Kesulitan, Faktor penyebab, Baris dan Deret Aritmatika / This study aims "to help students not to repeat the same mistakes in working on arithmetic sequences and series questions so that the specific objectives in this study are: 1) How are student learning outcomes in problem solving learning at SMA HKBP Lintongnihuta. 2) What are the types of difficulties experienced by students that make students at SMA HKBP Lintongnihuta have difficulty in solving arithmetic sequences and series material. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative approach. Based on the research that has been done, obtained data and information as well as the analysis that has been carried out on student learning outcomes on arithmetic row and series material is to describe the three categories of student scores, namely students with low scores with a percentage of 50%, medium scores with a percentage of 30% and high with a percentage of 30%. 20%. The results of the study indicate that there are types of difficulties experienced by students, which can be concluded with the discussion stage of the tests studied through Polya's theory, there are 4 types of difficulties experienced by students, namely: 1) The difficulty of students in understanding the problem with a percentage of 28% 2) The difficulty of students in planning problem solving with a percentage of 11% 3) The difficulty of students in planning problem solving with a percentage of 12% 4) Difficulty in checking answers with a percentage of 8% From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the highest difficulty is the difficulty in understanding the problem.
