Abstract
Skripsi ini mengungkap rahasia dibalik masuknya drama korea di Indonesia. Ia dikenalkan melalui media televisi atau social media lainnya di Indonesia. Untuk mengungkap penetrasi budaya Korea Selatan di Indonesia, akan digunakan pendekatan pop culture yang dicetuskan oleh Semenik (2012), Soft Power oleh Joseph Nye (2004) dan penetrasi budaya yang dicetuskan oleh Sue Jin Lee (2011). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode saintifik. Metode saintifik ialah metode dalam menkonstruk konsep, hukum atau prinsip melalui tahapan-tahapan mengamati, merumuskan masalah, mengajukan atau merumuskan hipotesis, mengumpulkan data dengan berbagai teknik, menganalisis data dan menarik kesimpulan, di mana akan dipetakan hubungan antarvariabel, penetapan proposisi, dan pembuktian hipotesis yang dicetuskan oleh Kaplan. Riset ini menemukan bahwa drama Korea menjadi sangat populer dan lebih di minati di Indonesia terutama pada era pademi covid ini. Pada penelitian ini juga menjelaskan dampak positif dan negative melalui hadirnya kebudayan budaya populer Korea Selatan di Indonesia salah satunya ialah K- drama. Penetrasi kebudyaan Korea melalui serial drama nya menjadi ancaman akan budaya Indonesia, dimana dengan popularitas budaya Korea yang semakin tinggi di Indonesia memberikan pengaruh pada budaya sekaligus masyarakat Indonesia khusunya pada remaja Indonesia. Mulai dari produk nya yang kian populer baik dalam makeup, skincare, K-fashion, K-music, makanan-makanan khas Korea bahkan masih banyak produk-produk lain nya yang membuat produk Indonesia sendiri menjadi kurang diminati oleh masyarakat lokal. Kata kunci : Korean wave, Drama Korea, Pop Culture, Penetrasi Budaya, Indonesia, Soft Power / This thesis reveals the secret behind the entry of Korean dramas in Indonesia. He was introduced through television or social media otherin Indonesia. To reveal the penetration of South Korean culture in Indonesia, theapproachwill be used pop culture proposed by Semenik (2012), Soft Power by Joseph Nye (2004). and cultural penetration, initiated by Sue Jin Lee (2011). The research method used is the scientific method. The scientific method is a method in constructing concepts, laws or principles through the stages of observing, formulating problems, proposing or formulating hypotheses, collecting data with various techniques, analyzing data and drawing conclusions, in which the relationship between variables will be mapped, proposition determination, and hypothesis proof. by Kaplan. This research found that Korean dramas are becoming very popular and more in demand in Indonesia, especially in this era of the covid pandemic. This study also explains the positive and negative impacts through the presence of South Korean popular culture in Indonesia, one of which is K-drama. The penetration of Korean culture through its drama series is a threat to Indonesian culture, where the increasing popularity of Korean culture in Indonesia has an influence on Indonesian society, especially Indonesian youth. Starting from the products that are increasingly popular both in makeup, skincare, fashion, Korean specialties and even many other products that make Indonesian products themselves less attractive to local people.
