Abstract

Stunting is a systemic public health issue that threatens the quality of Indonesia's human resources, including in the urban area of East Jakarta, which faces the paradox of nutritional poverty despite the availability of healthcare facilities. This project is a creative thesis in the form of a 16-minute and 15-second documentary film entitled "Prevent Stunting with AISA", with the author serving as the producer. The purpose of this creative work is to design an integrated production management system encompassing the pre-production, production, and post-production stages, while developing a narrative strategy that integrates medical data on stunting with a cross-religious sociocultural approach as a persuasive social campaign medium. The documentary focuses on the AISA (Healthy Indonesian Children) program initiated by the Wadah Komunikasi dan Pelayanan Umat Bersama (WKPUB) Community in East Jakarta, which implements two primary intervention pillars: the provision of supplementary feeding (PMT) based on animal protein and intensive educational assistance for families at risk of stunting. The production employed an expository documentary approach using direct observation, in-depth interviews with nine informants, and authentic footage captured at AISA program locations. Team management was carried out by applying Hersey and Blanchard's Situational Leadership Theory through directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating leadership styles. The documentary was successfully published on the Berita Nasional TV YouTube channel on June 1, 2026, achieving 550 views and 120 likes within the first five days of publication. The findings indicate that a systematically managed documentary film can transform the complex issue of stunting into an accessible visual narrative, foster public empathy, and encourage collective awareness among urban communities regarding the importance of stunting prevention in supporting the realization of Indonesia's Golden Generation. Keywords: stunting, documentary film, social campaign, producer, WKPUB.
