Abstract

Konflik Israel dengan Palestina merupakan permasalahan dunia terbesar yang cukup krusial dari dulu hingga kini. Konflik antara Palestina dan Israel yang sering dikaitkan dengan isu politik, agama, dan hak asasi manusia, terus berlanjut dan tentu berdampak buruk bagi masyarakat di kedua negara dan negara-negara lain. Perebutan wilayah kekuasaan ini menjadi perhatian dunia, dengan banyak negara menjadikannya sebagai isu aktual untuk meningkatkan kesadaran publik dan mendorong upaya penyelesaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana konsep pembingkaian (framing) digunakan dalam tayangan pemberitaan konflik Israel-Palestina di wilayah pada laman YouTube Tribun News edisi Mei 2024. Penelitian ini menerapkan konsep pembingkaian dari Robert N. Entman dengan metode kualitatif dan analisis framing. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemberitaan mencakup aspek penyerangan, perhatian terhadap korban, dan penggambaran kekuatan kedua belah pihak. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi empat elemen framing: mendefinisikan masalah, mendiagnosis penyebab, membuat penilaian moral, dan merekomendasikan tindakan. Kesimpulannya, Tribun News menyoroti isu serangan Israel di Rafah, menampilkan kekuatan Israel dan keberanian Hamas meskipun tidak sebanding, serta menyajikan informasi yang berimbang dan memperhatikan dampak konflik terhadap negara lain untuk menciptakan pemahaman yang lebih luas. Kata Kunci: Pembingkaian, Konflik Israel-Palestina, Tribun News, Rafah, YouTube / The conflict between Israel and Palestine is the biggest world problem which is quite crucial from the past until now. The conflict between Palestine and Israel, which is often linked to political, religious and human rights issues, continues and of course has a negative impact on society in both countries and other countries. This territorial struggle has attracted global attention, with many countries making it an actual issue to increase public awareness and encourage efforts to resolve it. This research aims to find out how the framing concept is used in news broadcasts on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the region on the May 2024 edition of Tribun News' YouTube page. This research applies Robert N. Entman's framing concept with qualitative methods and framing analysis. The results show that the reporting includes aspects of the attack, attention to the victims, and a depiction of the strength of both parties. This research identifies four elements of framing: defining the problem, diagnosing the causes, making a moral judgment, and recommending action. In conclusion, Tribun News highlights the issue of Israel's attack on Rafah, displays Israel's strength and Hamas' bravery even though they are not comparable, and presents balanced information and pays attention to the impact of the conflict on other countries to create a wider understanding.
