Abstract

Trotoar merupakan fasilitas publik yang berfungsi sebagai ruang aman bagi pejalan kaki dan menjadi akses yang dapat digunakan bagi pejalan kaki agar terasa aman. Namun, trotoar di Jakarta masih sering disalahgunakan untuk berbagai aktivitas selain menjadi jalur pejalan kaki yaitu, parkir liar, berdagang, dan jalur kendaraan bermotor. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi latar belakang penciptaan dokumenter “Trotoar yang Terlupakan” yang bertujuan menggambarkan kondisi trotoar, mengungkap penyebab masalah yang terus berulang, serta menyampaikan berbagai sudut pandang dari semua masyarakat. Penulis menerapkan teknik penulisan struktur tiga babak yang terdiri atas set up, confrontation, dan resolution untuk membangun alur cerita yang runtut dan informatif. Dengan struktur tiga babak menjadikan semua pendapat narasumber tersampaikan dilengkapi dengan data pendukung. Tahapan penciptaan dilakukan melalui tahapan pra-produksi, produksi, dan pasca-produksi yang meliputi riset, observasi, wawancara, penulisan naskah, dan penyuntingan. Hasil karya menunjukkan struktur tiga babak mampu mengungkap permasalahan trotoar secara sistematis, mulai dari pengenalan isu, pemaparan konflik, hingga penyampaian solusi. Melalui dokumenter ini diharapkan adanya kesadaran masyarakat dan pemerintah untuk menjaga fungsi trotoar sebagai hak pejalan kaki dan menjadi ruang yang nyaman dan aman untuk menjalani aktivitas. Dokumenter ini menjadi sebuah ruang diskusi untuk memahami bagaimana fungsi trotoar, pelanggaran yang ada, kondisi trotoar sesuai realita, dan bagaimana respon dari seluruh elemen masyarakat yang terlibat. Kata kunci: struktur tiga babak, penulis naskah, video dokumenter, trotoar, ruang publik. / Sidewalks are public facilities that serve as safe spaces for pedestrians and provide access for pedestrians to feel safe. However, sidewalks in Jakarta are still often misused for various activities other than pedestrian paths, namely, illegal parking, trading, and motor vehicle lanes. These problems are the background to the creation of the documentary "Trotoar yang Terlupakan" which aims to describe the condition of sidewalks, reveal the causes of recurring problems, and convey various perspectives from all communities. The author applies a three-act structure writing technique consisting of setup, confrontation, and resolution to build a coherent and informative storyline. With the three-act structure, all sources' opinions are conveyed accompanied by supporting data. The creation stages are carried out through pre-production, production, and post-production stages which include research, observation, interviews, scriptwriting, and editing. The work shows that the three-act structure is able to systematically reveal sidewalk problems, starting from the introduction of the issue, exposure of the conflict, to the delivery of solutions. Through this documentary, it is hoped that public and government awareness will be raised to maintain the function of sidewalks as a pedestrian right and as a comfortable and safe space for carrying out activities. This documentary serves as a discussion space to understand how sidewalks function, existing violations, the actual condition of sidewalks, and how all elements of society involved respond.
