Abstract

SEVENTEEN sebagai salah satu grup pemusik korea yang memiliki fans hampir di seluruh dunia khususnya di Asia dan mencakup lebih khususnya lagi Indonesia dengan memiliki julukan fans yaitu CARAT. Fenomena meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial X telah mendorong terbentuknya ruang fandom digital yang aktif, termasuk pada fandom CARAT, penggemar grup Korea SEVENTEEN, di Indonesia. Melalui akun fanbase seperti @caratstalk, penggemar tidak hanya memperoleh informasi terbaru, tetapi juga membangun interaksi, koordinasi, dan rasa kebersamaan dalam komunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran fanbase @caratstalk dalam membentuk loyalitas fandom CARAT. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan enam informan yang aktif sebagai penggemar SEVENTEEN. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akun fanbase @caratstalk berperan sebagai sumber informasi utama, ruang interaksi, sarana koordinasi aktivitas fandom, sekaligus ruang aman bagi CARAT untuk menyampaikan pendapat. Paparan konten yang rutin dan interaksi yang intens memperkuat kedekatan emosional penggemar dengan SEVENTEEN serta mendorong partisipasi dalam berbagai bentuk dukungan. Loyalitas CARAT dibentuk oleh peran SEVENTEEN sebagai sumber hiburan dan dukungan emosional, konsistensi grup dalam berkarya, serta manfaat positif yang dirasakan penggemar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: Fanbase @caratstalk, Media Sosial X, Loyalitas Fandom, CARAT / SEVENTEEN is one of the South Korean music groups with a large fanbase spread across the world, particularly in Asia, including Indonesia. Their fans are collectively known as CARAT. The increasing use of the social media platform X has encouraged the development of active digital fandom spaces, including the Indonesian CARAT fandom. Through fanbase accounts such as @caratstalk, fans not only obtain the latest information about SEVENTEEN but also build interactions, coordinate fandom activities, and foster a sense of community. This study aims to analyze the role of the @caratstalk fanbase in shaping the loyalty of the CARAT fandom. This study employed a qualitative approach using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six participants who are active SEVENTEEN fans. The findings reveal that the @caratstalk fanbase serves as the primary source of information, a space for interaction, a medium for coordinating fandom activities, and a safe environment where CARAT members can express their opinions. Regular exposure to fanbase content and intensive interactions strengthen fans' emotional attachment to SEVENTEEN and encourage their participation in various forms of fan support. CARAT's fandom loyalty is shaped by SEVENTEEN's role as a source of entertainment and emotional support, the group's consistency in producing creative works, and the positive benefits that fans experience in their daily lives.
