Abstract

Kebutuhan akan ruang pendidikan yang inklusif dan ramah anak berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya anak autisme, menjadi semakin penting seiring meningkatnya angka penyandang autisme di Indonesia. Skripsi ini merancang kompleks pendidikan anak autisme dengan pendekatan arsitektur adaptif di Ciracas, Jakarta Timur. Pendekatan ini digunakan untuk menjawab tantangan dalam penyediaan ruang belajar yang fleksibel, aman, dan mampu merespons kebutuhan sensorik, perilaku, serta sosial anak autisme. Penelitian ini diawali dengan identifikasi permasalahan melalui studi literatur, observasi lokasi, serta studi banding sekolah autisme dalam dan luar negeri. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pentingnya zonasi ruang yang jelas, peredaman suara, pencahayaan alami yang terkendali, serta fleksibilitas fungsi ruang. Konsep desain adaptif diterapkan pada seluruh elemen perancangan, mulai dari tata massa bangunan, struktur, fasad, hingga utilitas, guna menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung kemandirian dan perkembangan anak autisme secara holistik. Rancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi perancangan fasilitas pendidikan inklusif berbasis kebutuhan pengguna. Kata Kunci: Arsitektur Adaptif, Autisme, Pendidikan Inklusif, Sekolah Khusus, Jakarta Timur / The increasing prevalence of autism in Indonesia highlights the urgent need for inclusive and supportive educational spaces tailored to the specific needs of children with autism. This thesis proposes the design of an educational complex for children with autism using an adaptive architectural approach in Ciracas, East Jakarta. The adaptive design strategy is implemented to create a learning environment that is flexible, safe, and responsive to the sensory, behavioral, and social needs of autistic children. The research begins with problem identification through literature studies, site observations, and comparative analysis of autism schools both domestically and internationally. The findings emphasize the importance of clear zoning, acoustic treatment, controlled natural lighting, and spatial flexibility. Adaptive architecture principles are applied throughout the design process, including spatial layout, building form, structure, façade, and utility systems, to support holistic development and independence of autistic children. This design is expected to serve as a reference for future inclusive educational facility development focused on user needs.
