Abstract

Penyimpangan dimensi signifikan pada komponen Arm Articulate Dump Truck (ADT) Seri 400 (tipe 56B503A211) di PT. X menyebabkan tingginya pengerjaan ulang dan inefisiensi produksi. Tujuan penelitian adalah meminimalkan penyimpangan dimensi dan meningkatkan kualitas produksi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Quality Control Circle (QCC) terintegrasi dengan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) berdasarkan kerangka 5M+1E, serta validasi empiris. Akar penyebab utama teridentifikasi pada ketidakakuratan dimensi (selisih 0,6 mm) stopper jig Tack Welding (TW) (faktor Metode) dan ketiadaan Prosedur Operasional Standar (SOP) inspeksi jig. Implementasi solusi meliputi modifikasi stopper jig TW dan penyusunan SOP terkait. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan substansial akurasi dimensi Arm, serta reduksi waktu siklus produksi proses GMAW sebesar 48,48% dan proses Dummy 52,63%. Disimpulkan, metodologi QCC-FTA (5M+1E) efektif mendiagnosis dan mengatasi masalah, menghasilkan perbaikan nyata kualitas dan efisiensi. Kata Kunci: Penyimpangan Dimensi, QCC, FTA, Jig TW, Efisiensi Produksi. / This research addresses critical dimensional deviations in the Arm component (type 56B503A211) of Articulate Dump Trucks (ADT) Series 400, which significantly impacted manufacturing at PT. X. Problem rates for this component reached alarming levels, including 100% in September and 41.67% in October 2024, indicating periods of complete process failure. These deviations necessitated extensive rework and led to substantial production inefficiencies, with issues often detected late after the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) stage. The primary objective was to systematically identify the root causes of these deviations and implement effective corrective measures to enhance product quality and production efficiency. The study employed a Quality Control Circle (QCC) framework, integrated with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) structured around 5M + 1E causal factors, involving direct observation, data analysis, and precision measurement tools like the Romer Absolute Arm. Key findings identified the primary root cause as a methodological deficiency: a 0.6 mm dimensional inconsistency in the Tack Welding (TW) jig stopper (rear stopper 22.7 mm vs. 23.3 mm standard), compounded by the absence of an SOP for jig inspection. Corrective actions, including jig stopper modification and SOP implementation, yielded substantial improvements: GMAW process time was reduced by 48.48% (from 495 to 255 minutes), and dummy checking/finishing time decreased by 52.63% (from 95 to 45 minutes), alongside significantly enhanced dimensional accuracy. The research concluded that this systematic approach effectively resolved complex non-conformities, underscoring the importance of tooling precision and robust process controls for achieving high operational efficiency and quality.
