Abstract

Sistem Pendidikan Nasional pada UU No. 20/2003, mendefinisikan pendidikan yakni upaya yang direncanakan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran dan lingkungan belajar yang memungkinkan peserta didik untuk mengembangan potensi dirinya secara aktif sehingga memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, karekter, kecerdasan moralitas serta keterampilan untuk kebutuhan pribadinya, mayarakat, dan bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak kondisi psikologis terhadap kinerja guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Karimun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru sekolah dasar yang dipilih secara purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi psikologis guru sangat mempengaruhi kualitas kinerja mereka. Faktor-faktor seperti stres kerja, lelah emosional, dan trauma menjadi salah satu penyebab utama menurunnya kinerja guru. Guru yang mengalami tekanan psikologis cenderung menunjukkan penurunan semangat, kreativitas, dan efektivitas dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya dukungan psikososial dan kebijakan pendidikan yang berpihak pada kesejahteraan mental guru. Kata kunci: kondisi psikologis, kinerja guru, pendidikan dasar, stres kerja, motivasi / The National Education System, as stated in Law No. 20/2003, defines education as a planned effort to create learning and educational environments that enable students to actively develop their potential. This includes nurturing spiritual and religious strength, self-control, character, intelligence, morality, and the skills necessary to meet personal, societal, and national needs. This study aims to describe the impact of psychological conditions on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Karimun District. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. The subjects consisted of elementary school teachers selected purposively. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The findings indicate that teachers’ psychological conditions significantly affect the quality of their performance. Factors such as work-related stress, emotional exhaustion, and trauma are among the main causes of declining teacher performance. Teachers experiencing psychological pressure tend to show reduced enthusiasm, creativity, and effectiveness in the learning process. This study recommends the importance of psychosocial support and educational policies that prioritize the mental well-being of teachers.
