Abstract

Guru Sekolah Minggu merupakan tugas pelayanan yang mulia sebagai bentuk pelayanan kepada Tuhan. Dalam memberikan pengajaran, guru sekolah minggu harus menyesuaikan pengajaran dari beberapa golongan anak yang diajarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui peranan guru Sekolah Minggu sebagai Pendamping terhadap Kehadiran Anak kelas 1 dan 2 SD dalam Ibadah Sekolah Minggu di HKBP Pulo Asem serta mengetahui faktor - faktor penghambat dari diri anak kelas 1 dan 2 SD untuk hadir di Ibadah Sekolah Minggu HKBP Pulo Asem. Metode yang dapat dilakukan penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, yakni penelitian itu temenekankan hasil data secara deskriptif dimana data diperoleh dengan observasi dan wawancara. Adapun responden yang diminta keterangannya oleh penulis berjumlah 5 wali murid dan 2 Guru Sekolah Minggu kelas 1 dan 2 SD HKBP Pulo Asem. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, kesimpulannya menunjukkan bahwa peranan guru sekolah minggu sebagai pendamping terhadap kehadiran anak kelas 1 dan 2 SD dalam Ibadah Sekolah Minggu di HKBP Pulo Asem adalah pendampingan pada saat di gereja yaitu pada saat mengikuti Sekolah Minggu. Selain itu, guru juga melakukan pendekatan dalam menghadapi anak yang kurang semangat untuk hadir di Sekolah Minggu. Di luar gereja, guru sekolah minggu berperan untuk mengingatkan kembali orang tua di dalam grup Whatsapp untuk memberikan informasi kepada anaknya berkaitan dengan kegiatan sekolah minggu. Kemudian, mengenai faktor-faktor penghambat anak hadir di Sekolah Minggu HKBP Pulo Asem terdiri dari faktor internal anak serta faktor eksternal anak. Faktor internal seperti bangun pagi menjadi hal yang sulit bagi anak karena terkadang anak memiliki mood yang berubah-ubah, badan yang kurang sehat juga mengakibatkan anak tidak bisa pergi ke sekolah Minggu. Faktor lain yang menghambat anak untuk mengikuti ibadah sekolah Minggu adalah dari faktor eksternal seperti adanya orang tua yang telat membangunkan anak, atau adanya acara keluarga sehingga anak jadi tidak bisa ikut Sekolah Minggu. Kata Kunci : Guru Sekolah Minggu, Pendamping, Anak, Ibadah Sekolah Minggu/The role of a Sunday School teacher is a noble service task as a form of devotion to God. In giving lessons, a Sunday School teacher must adjust the teaching according to the group of children they are teaching. The purpose of this research is to understand the role of the Sunday School teacher as a companion to the attendance of Grade 1 and 2 elementary school children in Sunday Worship at HKBP Pulo Asem, as well as to identify the factors that hinder the attendance of Grade 1 and 2 children in Sunday Worship at HKBP Pulo Asem. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach, which emphasizes descriptive data, where the data is obtained through observation and interviews. The respondents involved in this study were 5 parents and 2 Sunday School teachers for Grade 1 and 2 children at HKBP Pulo Asem. The research results show that the role of the Sunday School teacher as a companion to the attendance of Grade 1 and 2 children in Sunday Worship at HKBP Pulo Asem is to provide support while the children are in church, particularly during Sunday School. Additionally, the teacher also takes an approach to encourage children who lack enthusiasm to attend Sunday School. Outside of church, the Sunday School teacher plays a role in reminding parents through WhatsApp groups to inform their children about Sunday School activities. Regarding the factors that hinder children from attending Sunday School at HKBP Pulo Asem, there are both internal and external factors. Internal factors, such as the difficulty of waking up early, often cause challenges for children, as they may have fluctuating moods or may not be feeling well, which prevents them from attending Sunday School. External factors include situations like parents being late in waking up their children or family events that prevent children from attending Sunday School. ` Keywords: Sunday School Teacher, Companion, Children, Sunday School
