Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji partisipasi warganet terhadap konten homoseksual di media sosial TikTok, khususnya pada akun @ragilmahardika yang menampilkan kehidupan pernikahan sesama jenis. Fenomena ini menjadi sorotan karena memicu berbagai tanggapan dari publik Indonesia yang mayoritas memiliki pandangan konservatif terhadap isu LGBT. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk partisipasi warganet yang muncul melalui fitur komentar dan bagaimana budaya komunikasi partisipatif tercermin dalam interaksi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode netnografi digital. Data dikumpulkan dari 909 komentar pada satu unggahan TikTok, kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan teori Participatory culture dari Henry Jenkins yang mencakup empat kategori budaya partisipasi: affiliations, expressions, circulations, dan collaborative problem solving. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa warganet mengekspresikan berbagai bentuk partisipasi, mulai dari dukungan, penolakan, hingga sikap netral. Namun, pada kategori collaborative problem solving, diskusi yang terjadi tidak berkembang ke arah pencarian solusi bersama, melainkan berhenti pada ekspresi opini pribadi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa TikTok menjadi ruang pertukaran opini yang aktif, namun belum membentuk partisipasi kolaboratif dalam menyelesaikan isu sosial seperti homoseksualitas./This study examines netizens' participation in homosexual content on TikTok social media, especially on the @ragilmahardika account that displays same-sex married life. This phenomenon is in the spotlight because it triggers various responses from the Indonesian public, the majority of whom have conservative views on LGBT issues. The purpose of this research is to find out the forms of netizen participation that appear through the comment feature and how the culture of participatory communication is reflected in digital interaction. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with digital netnography method. Data were collected from 909 comments on one TikTok upload, then analyzed based on Henry Jenkins' Participatory culture theory which includes four categories of participatory culture: affiliations, expressions, circulations, and collaborative problem solving. The results show that netizens express various forms of participation, ranging from support, rejection, to neutral attitudes. However, in the collaborative problem solving category, the discussion did not progress towards finding a common solution, but instead stopped at expressing personal opinions. The conclusion of this study is that TikTok is an active space for opinion exchange, but has not yet formed collaborative participation in solving social issues such as homosexuality.
