Abstract

Maraknya musik indie menimbulkan pertanyaan seperti mengapa musik indie menjadi marak, apa pengaruh yang dibawa musik indie, dan dampak yang dirasakan oleh penggemarnya. Tujuan penciptaan karya ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh dan perubahan yang dibawa oleh musik indie kepada budaya anak muda sebagai penyuara isi hati yang bebas, kreatif dan mandiri. Target khalayak dari pembuatan karya dokumenter ini adalah anak muda (usia 13-27 tahun) yang memiliki minat pada musik indie. Teknik perolehan data (Data/News Gathering) dilakukan dalam pembuat dokumenter ini. Proses ini melibatkan berbagai teknik seperti penentuan topik, riset mendalam, menyusun daftar narasumbrer, menyusun daftar pertanyaan, wawancara, verifikasi data, memilah data, membuat naskah voice over. Pada akhirnya tren skena kalcer yang diimani oleh anak muda tercipta dari kemunculannya musik indie. Musik indie memengaruhi budaya anak muda mulai dari pola pikir, gaya bahasa dan berbicara, cara berpakaian, hingga gaya hidup. Dengan proses perolehan data (data/news gathering) penulis mampu menarasikan fenomena ini dalam bentuk naskah voice over yang dirangkai menjadi karya feature dokumenter "Musik Indie dan Budaya Anak Muda". Musik indie memberikan ruang bagi anak muda untuk mengekspresikan identitas mereka. Fenomena ini menunjukkan bahwa musik indie memiliki peran signifikan dalam membentuk budaya anak muda di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Musik Indie, Skena Kalcer, Anak Muda / The rise of indie music has sparked several questions, such as why indie music has become increasingly popular, what influences it brings, and the impact it has on its audience. The purpose of this work is to describe the influence and transformation brought about by indie music on youth culture, particularly in expressing freedom, creativity, and independence. The target audience of this documentary project is young people (aged 13–27) who have an interest in indie music. The data/news gathering process was carried out in the making of this documentary. This process involved various techniques such as topic selection, in-depth research, compiling a list of sources, preparing interview questions, conducting interviews, verifying information, filtering data, and writing the voice-over script. Ultimately, the cultural scene or "skena kalcer" embraced by the youth was shaped by the emergence of indie music. Indie music influences youth culture in aspects such as mindset, language and speech patterns, fashion, and overall lifestyle. Through the data/news gathering process, the writer was able to narrate this phenomenon in a voice-over script, which was then developed into the feature documentary titled "Indie Music and Youth Culture." Indie music provides a space for young people to express their identities. This phenomenon highlights the significant role that indie music plays in shaping youth culture in Indonesia.
