Abstract

Karya feature dokumenter berjudul “Cahaya Masa Depan di Balik SLB Dian Grahita” merupakan karya audio-visual yang mengangkat isu pentingnya pendidikan inklusif bagi anak-anak dengan hambatan intelektual. Karya ini dikemas dalam bentuk feature human interest dengan pendekatan naratif yang emosional dan visual yang humanis untuk menggugah empati, mengubah stigma negatif, serta membangun kesadaran masyarakat akan potensi luar biasa yang dimiliki oleh anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus. SLB Dian Grahita, sebagai objek utama karya, dipilih karena perannya yang signifikan dalam mendidik dan membina peserta didik agar mampu hidup mandiri, produktif, dan berdaya saing melalui pendidikan berbasis kebutuhan individual. Sebagai produser, penulis memegang kendali penuh dalam merancang dan mengeksekusi strategi pengelolaan produksi, terutama dalam mengatasi keterbatasan sumber daya manusia. Strategi utama yang diterapkan adalah penerapan multiskill dan multitasking kepada anggota crew. Sistem kerja dikembangkan melalui briefing harian, rotasi peran, serta pengawasan intensif agar efisiensi kerja dapat tercapai tanpa mengorbankan kualitas teknis maupun nilai artistik karya. Setiap crew dilibatkan tidak hanya dalam fungsi teknis, tetapi juga dalam pemahaman terhadap isi dan pesan sosial dari cerita yang disampaikan. Melalui pendekatan pengelolaan crew yang adaptif, kolaboratif, dan efisien, proses produksi berjalan lancar dan menghasilkan karya dokumenter berdurasi 16 menit yang memadukan kekuatan narasi, visual, dan nilai kemanusiaan. Karya ini membawa dampak positif dalam tiga ranah utama: akademik, sebagai referensi pengembangan produksi media edukatif dan inklusif; praktis, sebagai model pengelolaan crew dalam tim kecil; dan sosial, sebagai medium yang mengedukasi serta menginspirasi masyarakat untuk melihat potensi anak-anak penyandang disabilitas secara lebih adil dan empatik. Kata Kunci: Multiskill, Multitasking, Feature, Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus / The feature documentary titled “Cahaya Masa Depan di Balik SLB Dian Grahita” is an audio-visual work that raises the issue of the importance of inclusive education for children with intellectual disabilities. This documentary is presented as a human-interest feature using an emotional narrative approach and humanistic visuals to evoke empathy, challenge negative stigma, and raise public awareness about the extraordinary potential possessed by children with special needs. SLB Dian Grahita, as the main subject of the documentary, was chosen due to its significant role in educating and fostering students to become independent, productive, and competitive individuals through a personalized education system tailored to each student's needs. As the producer, the writer assumed full control over designing and executing the production management strategy, particularly in addressing the limitation of human resources. The main strategy implemented was the application of multiskill and multitasking principles among the crew members. The working system was developed through daily briefings, rotating responsibilities, and intensive supervision to ensure production efficiency without compromising the technical quality or artistic value of the work. Every crew member was involved not only in technical functions but also in understanding the content and social message conveyed through the story. Through an adaptive, collaborative, and efficient crew management approach, the production process ran smoothly and resulted in a 16-minute documentary that successfully combined strong narrative, compelling visuals, and profound human values. This documentary delivers a positive impact in three key areas: academically, as a reference for developing educational and inclusive media productions; practically, as a model for small-team production management; and socially, as a medium that educates and inspires the public to view the potential of children with disabilities more fairly and empathetically.
