Abstract

Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan dalam kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematis, yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan model berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning), dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Metodologi yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Sampel terdiri dari 46 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, yakni kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Dalam analisis data, langkah-langkah termasuk pengujian normalitas menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov, pemeriksaan homogenitas, uji hipotesis, dan penerapan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah antara model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci : Problem Based Learning (PBL), konvensional, kemampuan pemecahan masalah. / The purpose of this study was to identify differences in students' abilities in solving mathematical problems, given learning using a problem-based model (Problem Based Learning), compared to conventional learning models. The methodology applied in this research is a quantitative approach with an experimental approach. The sample consisted of 46 students who were divided into two groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. In data analysis, the steps included normality testing using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, homogeneity checking, hypothesis testing, and applying the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that there were significant differences in students' ability to solve problems between the problem-based learning model and conventional learning models.
