Abstract
Banyak orang takut memasuki masa lanjut usia, karena asumsi bahwa pada masa lanjut usia individu merasa tidak berguna, lemah, menurunnya semangat hidup dan fungsi tubuh, tidak diperhatikan oleh keluarga dan masyarakat, bahkan menjadi beban bagi individu lain. Namun, dukungan keluarga dapat memperkuat setiap individu. Dukungan yang dapat keluarga berikan kepada lansia diantaranya dukungan emosional, dukungan penghargaan, dukungan informasi, serta dukungan instrumental. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kemandirian lansia dalam memenuhi aktivitas sehari - hari di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tanah Sareal Kota Bogor dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional atau potong lintang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan seluruh lansia yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tanah Sareal Kota Bogor yaitu sebanyak 663 jiwa, dengan sample 97 orang lansia dan keluarga lansia. Hasil penelitian didapatkan hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kemandirian lansia dalam memenuhi aktivitas sehari - hari di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tanah Sareal Kota Bogor dengan nilai p value Chi – Square hitung > nilai Chi – Square tabel (124,342 < 467,537). Kata kunci : lansia, dukungan keluarga, kemandirian lansia Many people are afraid of entering the old age due to the assumption that in the old age individuals will feel useless, weak, decreased enthusiasm for life and body functions, ignored by the family and society, even become a burden for another individuals. However, family support can strengthen each individual. Support that the family can provide to the elderly includes emotional support, award support, information support, and instrumental support. This essay aims to determine the relationship between family support and the independence of the elderly in fulfilling daily activities in the work area of Puskesmas Tanah Sareal Bogor City using a questionnaire. This study uses a cross sectional approach or cross section. The population in this study were all elderly who were in the working area of the Puskesmas Tanah Sareal Bogor City, which amounted to 663 people, with a sample of 97 elderly and elderly families.
