Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang analisis dan evaluasi pendidikan multikultural di SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan dan implementasi dalam pendidikan agama Kristen. Peneletian ini menggunakan konsep dan teori-teori dengan menggunakan pendekatan pendidikan multikultural di sekolah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang implementasi pendidikan multikultural di sekolah tersebut. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan evaluasi pendidikan multikultural yang sudah dilaksanakan selama ini di SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode penenelitian kualitatif deskriptif yaitu peneliti langsung turun ke lapangan untuk umtuk mengambil data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan orang yang akan diteliti dan melakukan analisis pengalaman subjektif dan objektif dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Informan pada penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru-guru mata pelajaran beserta siswa/siswi. Lokasi penelitian ini berada di Kota Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural yang dilaksanakan di SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan selama ini berlangsung dengan baik dan sekolah mengimplementasi nilai-nilai multikultural mulai visi-misi, tujuan pendidikan, struktur organisasi sekolah, pengembangan program-program pendidikan beserta sarana dan prasarana yang ada dis ekolah tersebut. Implementasi pendidikan multikultural di SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan secara umum sudah sangat baik namun terdapat beberapa hambatan dan tantangan dalam pengimplementasiannya. Hambatan dalam implementasi pendidikan agama Kristen multikultural di sekolah tersebut adalah adanya pertukaran siswa, perpindahan siswa dari sekolah lain ke sekolah tersebut, pemahaman guru dan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, kurangnya waktu guru-guru dalam mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan terkait implementasi multikultural yang mutakhir, sibuknya pengurusan administrasi sekolah, dan hambatan yang paling besar adalah pandemi covid-19 yang membatasi seluruh interaksi langsung antara siswa dan guru. Tantangan guru dalam implementasi pendidikan agama Kristen multikultural adalah guru dituntut harus memiliki kesadaran penuh akan keberagamannyang ada dan mampu meng-upgrade kemampuan pedagogis, sosial, kepribadian dan profesionalitasnya serta mampu mengikuti perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan penelitian, SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan sudah menerapkan dengan baik pendidikan multikultural yang ada namun harus melakukan berbagai perbaikan dan evaluasi terkait program pendidikan yang dikembangkan. Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Pendidikan multikultural, PAK Multikultural, analisis, evaluasi. / This study discusses the analysis and evaluation of multicultural education in SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan and its implementation in Christian religious education. This research uses concepts and theories using a multikultural education approach in schools to obtain a description of the implementation of multicultural education in the school. The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the multicultural education that has been implemented so far at Sultan Iskandar Muda Senior High School Medan. The research method used by the researcher in this research is to use descriptive qualitative research methods, namely researchers go directly to the field to collect data through interviews, observations and documentation with the people to be studied and analyze subjective and objective experiences with a sociological approach. Informants in the study were principals, subject teachers and students. The location of this research is in the city of Medan. The results of the study indicate that the multikultural education carried out at Sultan Iskandar Muda Senior High School Medan has been going well so far and the school has implemented multicultural values starting from the vision and mission, educational goals, school organizational structure, development of educational programs along with the existing facilities and infrastructure at the school. the school. The implementation of multicultural education at SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan is generally very good, but there are several obstacles and challenges in its implementation. The obstacles in implementing multicultural Christian religious education in these schools are the exchange of students, the transfer of students from other schools to these schools, the understanding of teachers and the preparation of learning tools, the lack of time for teachers to attend trainings related to the latest multicultural implementation, the busy management of school administration, and the biggest obstacle is the covid-19 pandemic which limits all direct interactions between students and teachers. The challenge for teachers in implementing multicultural Christian religious education is that teachers are required to have full awareness of the diversity that exists and be able to upgrade their pedagogical, social, personality and professional abilities and be able to follow the development of science and technology. Based on the results of research and research discussions, SMA Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan has implemented the existing multicultural education well but must make various improvements and evaluations related to educational programs developed to improve the quality of existing learning and education.
